Blue Horizon- Jack McCoy About Andy and Rasta, competitive vs freesurf lifestyles basically. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJk0r6tw2nc
'Step Into Liquid' has some great footage. Depends on your Laird tolerance level I guess. While I suppose it's no more dangerous and insane than Teahupoo, etc... the idea of Cortes Bank creeps me out. 100 miles off shore, deep ocean all around, sharks, monstrous waves, etc...

My favorite movies are pretty dated now. Nobody surfs on single fins anymore, and nobody considers Wiamea, Sunset Beach or Ala Moana the Diamond Standard of Surfing. I still enjoy watching them, but it's almost painful watching what passed as a rad cutback or a slashing off-the-lip. Surfing has progressed massively the last 35 years with the advent of the Thruster. But I still enjoy power surfing over the air game, sliders and tube dodging. EDIT: I like watching movies of big monster slabs the best, though. Nobody was doing that sh1t back in the day
I enjoyed Blue Horizon for the insane production quality, and JJF's next-level surfing. Seeing it on a big screen was pretty cool. I like the rawness of Timmy Turner's Indo docs. Burning the Map and Second Thoughts.
big Wednesday with gary busey was my sh1t!!how was that not mentioned lol,seriously.. I think its called "down the line",it was an espn surf movie with slater.best surf documentary u will ever see,i think they got it on vimeo.com.....most surf flicks these days are air reverse air reverse, air, barrel, air reverse with some retarded soundtrack.i like documentarys better,i got all the good surf dvds already and havnt even watched them in half a decade.dont need to with the internet lol.
