1:15 PM wind is blowing 48-53 MPH at my home. Snowing like crazy, we are in the midst of a nor'easter blizzard

Winds now 55-60MPH per NOAA anemometer on Isles of Shoals, 10 miles offshore from our home. Power went out, Genrac came on. However, power is now back on....for now.

Starting to clean up. Might be doable for an hour before dark.

Checked it multiple times today... while on the clock. Pretty awesome... but totally unrideable. Did not feel like I missed anything. Probably could have driven hours to a surfable spot, but it wasn't in the cards.

Now that is a wave. Stand-up barrels. Was still too disorganized up here. Wind went offshore too late in the day.

It was only knee - waist here, stiff WNW wind keeping it clean for the most part but it was knocking it down a bit too, and the peak was a moving target. Tricky getting into them but it didn't stop me from getting several fun rides on the LB.

What still photo doesn't capture is speed of these waves. So fast. No time to stall. As soon as you are in its time to think about getting out. Pig dog would swallow you whole. Freight training

Got about 4 hours in the water in at Monmouth County today, late afternoon into early in the evening.

In the mega blizzard, that barely left any snow on the coast. It was a bit over head high today. Not that cleanest stuff surfed and had to drive a few towns over, as the local break was JUNK when I checked it out. Only a couple guys out and my best friend and I. We stayed out until a bit after sunset, probably too late. I don't advocate moonlight (as if you could see the moon tonight LOL) sessions in these conditions, but when you're confined to when you can and can't surf this time of year, you take it when you can get it.

I wasn't even supposed to be off today (thanks blizzard!), so it was a win either way. A little choppy at times, I'm pretty satisfied though.

nailed it. i didn't see many backside tubes even attempted. Frontside pumping was just about the only shot at exiting.
