I got a 6'4" Buddha Shapes pintail from there. I used to love that board until I snapped it surfing low tide. Took off and started going left, wave was closing out so I turned right, straight down, POW! Heard the snap before I hit the water. That thing would make this humming noise on bigger waves when I was hauling arse down the line.
Andy Bower? I wonder if it's the Same Andy Bower I know, he would have been 12 years old 20 years ago or somewhere around that.
Grew up surfing with a guy called Buddha. I know he makes some sweet borts. I think out of Fla?. Pump you ain't washed up just well seasoned. First bort I got was a6'8" sgl. fin NA surfed one season late 70's then went to a 5'6" twin NA. Surfed more twins than I can remember. Was one of the last at my break to go to try fins.
That's puts you in Legend status. Goes as follows: Grom (under 16) Cocky Little F*head (16-21) Local Pro (22-29) Washed Up (30-45) Legend (45+) You don't even have to do anything to progress from washed up to legend....you literally just have to still exist. I'm trying to figure out my plan to make it through my next decade to legend status. I'm too old to paddle battle, but too young to concede defeat......maybe if i SUP for the next 10 years I can still get a bunch of waves, and then you know how it goes....everyone gives Legend's their waves.
Clownface is an old misfit. And he's been taking a beating here and rolling with the punches like a champ. Sounds like he fits in pretty good here.
I will still paddle battle if need be, but I would rather sit down the beach a ways out of the crowd.
