There is no "lineup" when and where I surf. Only homo morons surf in line ups, which is why that term is near and dear to you.
Exactly my point... Because he can't help himself. I don't think it's ego. Maybe id, though. Clearly losing doesn't stop him from competing, so I think he's driven by the competition itself, and not necessarily by wanting to be world champ for the umteeth time.
id say more of a true competitor. Loves competition. Also, the WSL is probably pressuring him to stay on to keep rating up.
Dang Barry, always with the homo stuff. I'm not gonna lie, I like watching the pros do their thing. It's inspiring, but really I watch for all the non-manly pro surfer ladies wearing their ever shrinking bikinis. It also cool to see a bit a late summer in OZ when its in the 30's at home. As far as Slater is concerned, hes getting paid to surf empty lineups all around the world. I would be doing the exact same thing as long as I was remotely competitive. If he wasn't competitive he would fall off the tour. That said, I do agree that the young buck needs to post an intro thread with required photos of girlfriend as required by SI community by-laws.
Yes he did. But it is an opportunity to stir the pot when others follow his every breath and move. Kinda gay...... Same goes in football, baseball, tidily winks......
It would nice to rip like this after losing a step
Surf is supposed to be nice around here Mon & Tues. I will go out and do exactly what Kelly is doing. Yup. Uh huh.....right.
Seems like he just gets into comps. Keeps him fit. This has also been all he's ever known since he was a grom. Probably just wants to extend his career more to extend his legacy. No matter what else he does this is what he will be remembered for and he knows that so he's going to do it until he can't so that he squeezes every drop out his life and opportunities.
Mr. Slater will need to be near perfect the whole season if he thinks he is ever going to see that 12th title. IMO, Slater's two best rides should have taken the heat. Medina had the best one wave, but his best 2nd wave should not have broke a 5, it was kind of close, but Slater surfed all his waves way better, IMO.
