My man. You have 2 themes. homophobia (fear of homosexuals) and Fear in general. Fear is a tool. (not the same kind of tool that you are). Fear is either "desire" or "lack of skills". Denying one's own fear is dangerous. Admitting to it, working on skill sets and pushing past it is healthy. I fully embrace the fact that I have fear. It exists. It's there for us to thrive. It's a reason to live. Are you denying that you have fear?

Blasters is kinda right. Don't get me wrong, its cool to watch Kelly or any other pro surf. Gives us something to talk about. If you didn't already know, you would never know he's from Florida or the east coast. And that wave pool isn't benefiting Florida. Its main function is to collect money for its owners, which i believe is the WSL. And Sandy? Granted he wasn't from NY. But NY and NJ got effed up. As far as i know he didn't do anything. The community helped each other out.

Same with competing. Again ill watch of i got time. I love surfing and enjoy watching the best did there thing, especially live in conditions that can some times be less than perfect. Seeing how they surf crappier waves. But at the end of the day it's all about money. And judging surfing is idiotic and impossible.

The guys a great surfer and fun to watch. But he's not a god sattebury. Don't confuse the two

id rather watch free soul surfing and just people having fun. i mean no soft tops but just traveling and trying to get the feel as if i was there wit themm, so relate them to other trips. watching some comp is just robotic and lame.

Exactly. My friend just returned from PR, first time he had been there in 10 years. He was shocked how Maria has turned into a Shhit show.
Wavepools are designed for money reasons, and money alone. Now, as a capitalist, I see nothing wrong with that at all. But the downside is they also will operate as a "market expander", creating more surfers which will eventually spill into the lineup and into the surf shops.
But at this stage of my life, I can say, "Who cares?". I will be surfing for a couple more years at best; I am shooting for 4 more. Then, I can say I surfed for 60 years total. That will be enough.
Now, its early so I am going to have breakfast. Where is the Pablum?? I need to eat so I can fill up my Depends......

Good stuff man-I listened to it with my morning coffee. Once the bass started in, I cranked it up loud.
    Thanks

I saw Filter in Early 90's.
Don't know if the song was a "shot" at Barry or not. The song was inspired by Budd Dwyer, who shot himself on live TV during a press conference in 1987.
    I like Barry, even when I don't.

Gotta take Barry with a grain of salt.

Okay, maybe more like a 50 lb bag of rock salt.

Hell, just load the rock salt in a shotgun and shoot Barry with it.

Just kidding. I like Barry. He affects people. Look at that actor from NY that's been a member since 2011 and only started posting because he had such a hard on for Barry. That's just good theater if you ask me. It's stuff like that and people like Barry that keep this site somewhat compelling.

Yeah...I love you guys too...not! I would have beers with youz guys anyday
But, as I have mentioned before, many times, I am here to have fun. By annoying, insulting, bantering, etc, and maybe...exchange a bit of surfing information. And all of you have provided me with hours of fun whilst I sit here trading stocks and waiting for time to sell or buy.
Thing I noticed recently- a lot of my local friends tell me I remind them of House, MD. ??? WTF??? Really?? That asshole??? So I watched a few on Netflix.......okay, I get it. Not sure if I agree or want to agree......

No Pants, That's a big gun and your venn diagram is spot on. We creative types sometimes over analyze other people's works.

I used to do it in college just to mess with my professors.

Originally all the music critiques were claiming the song was based on Kurt Cobain's suicide.
The song was written years before he blew his brains out; just bad (or good) record release timing.
