Only a depiction of Shakespeare's "Shylock". Shakespeare wasn't a bigot. Was he?

Ah, probably offend too many Swellies so I deleted in the name of goodwill.

But Zuck gave like 100 mil to Newark, NJ school system. That level of virtue signaling has to be good for something..no?

cuz these are not bathing beaches. Infact swimming is prohibited. They are unguarded. They are surf/fishing beaches. Of course most locals will bring wife and kids and boogie board or surf board to take into the water with you to cool off since you can not "bathe / swim"

Because the purpose of the permit system is not to generate needed revenue for lifeguards and other public services. This is a neighborhood that provides NO services. The purpose of the expensive permits (which residents will get for free, and then use to park on the street instead of their driveway to hog parking spaces) is simply to exclude the "general" public (translation: surfers and fishermen from gasp....inland) from using a public beach.

    Thats a big differnce

Did his donation lower Newark taxes??
If it did, then it was properly utilized.
If it did not, then the politicians pocketed it and the donation is to be classified as a bribe.
    Period. No exceptions.

Who patrols the beaches to tell swimmers to get out of the water? Is there public beach access there? How far is public parking? Not being a d!ck, just curious. we have meters at CB but just during tourist season. The cops have really started to crack down on unauthorized street parking down here.

Personally, I hope the rich people win and all you losers get booted out.
This is capitalism at its best. I am a capitalist.
You live in a capitalist country. Go buy your own beach!!! Or STFU!!!!!

you have a point about lifeguards. however, the beach visitors do contribute additional waste (trash) for the municipalities waste collection service.

btw, i don't get any additional services when i pay the meters in downtown ILM either.

for the record i hate parking meters.

i'm just wondering why this is any different than any other pay to park system.
