Hello guys, I have a few questions to ask about the O'Neill Superfreak 4/3. This is my first time buying an O'Neill wetsuit so i would like to know your opinion and reviews on this suit: flexibility, comfort, etc. Also I'm a little bit worried about the size: I'm 178cm, 68-70kg, 96-98cm chest and 85cm waist and idk if i should go for the S or the M. The info given in the O'Neill website is the following: SIZE | HEIGHT(CM) | WEIGHT(KG) | CHEST(CM) | WAIST(CM) S | 173-178 | 61-70 | 95-99 | 75-79 M | 175-180 | 70-77 | 99-104 | 79-84 If I dont buy the oneill superfreak my second option would be the Quiksilver syncro so you can give me your opinion on that too. Thanks and good waves!
wetsuite advice runs $50 per each style review(paypal), let us know if your still interested and we will proceed
Are you from Macau? How are the waves there? You should do a "hello thread". Tell us a little about yourself. Also, get a wetsuit with geoprene, like Isurus or Matuse. Worth the extra coin
First, you should post some picks of your gf/wife (current or ex) in a burkini. Second, herro thread to properly introduce yourself. Third, what type of wetsuite do you currently have? Fourth, where do you surf? Fifth, when was the last time you got laid? Sixth, how long have you been surfing? Seventh, are you coming to Belmar for the First Annual Memorial Day Weekend sh1te trowing contest?
I'm a nobody but I'm bored so I'll offer my $0.02: you gotta try it on if you're concerned about the size - no substitute for it. Every suit fits differently. I'm a dedicated weekend warrior and a hoodless 4/3 Quicksilver Syncro was my first wetsuit in 2009 and up until very recently it was my warmest suit as well (used a detachable hood - bad idea, if you go this route I'd try a detachable hood with a vest instead of just a collar because it sucks getting flushed with that hood on). And it's still my fall/spring suit to this day... looking forward to ditching the 5/4 real soon to get back into it. It's starting to get a little stretched around the hand/feet-holes, but it still keeps me warm. They're super cheap too - so unless mine's a fluke I would recommend it. TL;DR - gotta try on the suit to see how it fits you. And take my advice with a grain of salt... I'm a weekend warrior who's still rocking his first summer, spring/fall, and winter suits... but I can tell you the only neoprene I've bought and regretted was split-toe Billabong boots. They ****ing suck. But wetsuits just get cheaper/better every year. My 5/4 dries like 2x faster than my thinner suits just because it's newer... so you'll probably be happy with whatever ya get... ignorance is sometimes bliss. Good luck buddy.
Ok here we go in imperial: I'm 5'10", 145-152lb, 37,8"-38,5" chest, 33,3" waist O'Neill size guide: SIZE | HEIGHT(IN) | WEIGHT(LB) | CHEST(IN) | WAIST(IN) S | 5'8" - 5'10" | 135 - 155 | 36.5” - 38.5” | 29" - 31" M | 5'9" - 5'11" | 150 -170 | 38.5” - 40.5” | 30.5” - 32.5” PS: Advice is also correct, advise is the verb while advice is the noun. You can say: "I need your advice" or "Advise me", I think the first is clearly closest to my idea. Anyways I'm not here to talk about grammar and neither are you, i suppose.
Oh COME ON..... you're TLDR was just as long as your whole post. Get over yourself you windbag. You're gonna have a hard time here.... Who's post did you report?
I'm from Lisbon, Portugal. I've been in macau tho, i have family there. Waves are OK but they can't beat the ones in Portugal. Here in Portugal its really hard to have access to those kind of brands, I already decided this is the suit im going for just really concerned about the size. Thank you for your time! I'm from Portugal and for some reason O'Neill closed all their stores here so I'm afraid i cant try it. I was hoping some1 with O'Neill suits and similar stature to give me some insights on the size.
O'Neil is better than the Quiksilver. Tho Quiksilver is cheaper - i got a new one for like $70. There's some strain, but no leaks and it's keepin me warm (4/3). if the price difference is +$50, then i'd go with the cheaper option
I just noticed the "How to deal with trolls" on the top of the page after replying to this. Anyways the o'neill size chart was originally in imperial so i just copied it from my notes. (I changed to metric after)
Well.... I was an English teacher.... We due talk aboot grammar on here aboot as much as we talk about wetsuites. Take my advise and post up a herro treade. PS To all us internet trolls that surf two: I don't think he reported anybody.
