I don't believe I've ever heard a solution or any suggestions from our Middle East allies about how to quell acts of terrorism against us. When Saudi envoys come to America, very little is conveyed through the media about what was discussed, never mind the fact that none of their representatives makes public speeches about "what you need to do".

Yet, it seems that our Presidents make public speeches almost every time they visit foreign dignitaries.

We are not going to get rid of the problem by giving Saudi Arabia, the biggest advocate of worldwide Sharia law, a focking billion dollar weapons deal.
The middle east is such a sh!t show. It is important to understand the split between Sunni's and Shia's. It is important to know all the players and their roles, such as Iran and their sponsoring of Hamas and Hezbollah, their historical allegiance to Syria and Russia. How Russia played a big role in Islamic terrorism in the 70's. How the Egyptian brotherhood was the forerunner to all these idealistic douchbags. How Assad helped out in regards to Israel. How our Pakistani allies STARTED and supported the Taliban (through their intelligence service the PKA). Understanding Beirut, Israel and their formation, how maps of the area were drawn after the first world war and how oil companies play a big role.
This sh!t isn't going to end anytime soon, we keep making the same mistakes. Isis, Al Queda, PLO, Hamas, Hezbellah, blah blah blah. Our President is dancing around with the leaders of terrorism, you don't think one of those hadji's didn't want to take a swing on old boys neck?
A couple of good, easy reads I recommend, All The Shahs Men, Chasing The Jackal, Revenge (one of the books the movie Munich was based on), and even Charlie Wilsons war. Robert Baer has some good ones.

I don't think that the Saudi arms deal has much to do with solving terrorism as much as it does with filling the government coffers full of $$$...other than the fact that it would sweeten the pot to give them a possible incentive to help us.

 

A big part of his message to the Saudi's and the 50 Muslim leaders was for them to take responsibility for their home lands and not wait on the USA to do everything for them. He is arming them so they can defend themselves and be more self sufficient and reduce our involvement in their affairs. We won't win the war on terror alone.
