I just saw this video on Surfline. It's pretty bad ass, i'm surprise none of you NJ guys posted it!
Pretty cool video. But when you watch this you realize that even when NJ is "big" it's actually pretty small. These waves are mediocre at best in most parts of the world.
NJ is far from world class. I don't think anyone would say it is.... BUT a head/overhead barrel is far from mediocre anywhere in the world
I don't think anyone's calling it "big." At 1:09 there's a decent drop, though. I'd say it's pretty typical of most "good" days... clean, fast, hollow, Jerzy goodness.
I just now watched it. Pretty sweet video. That's down on LBI. We've had a pretty better than decent May here in Jersey. I've been pretty happy with it, for a guy that doesn't get to surf much in the fall or winter, due to work. So I've enjoyed the number of rideable days here.
oh look at this.. typical new jersey surf video cue the boring gopro aerial footage, guy waxing up his board, and the jersey "pros" "ripping" it up they forgot about showing off how cold the water is... cus u have to be "hardcore" to surf jersey in the winter
sorry sorry the hoods, gloves and booties give it away.. my bad oh yeah i forgot about gopro pov shots. whats a jersey surf video without them??
Yeah brah EC barrels have a unique square compact way about them. I think its the continental shelf squashing the swell energy.
