I've been researching the cryptocurrency market place and have decided to get my feet wet. It's definitely a gamble, but heck, what in life isn't? I'm not dumping my life savings into it, nor am I looking to get rich quick. Just doing it as a long term investment strategy. It's pretty confusing at first, and definitely not easy to buy or store your currency securely, but it definitely has validity in the marketplace depending on the currency. Have any of you out there in the ethernet gotten involved?
No--and it is why I happily retired early. Because I could and I don't get involved in every passing fad, financial or otherwise. Whatever money you put into that, expect to lose it.
All alt-currencies are different. For Bitcoin the price goes up the more people buy and use it because there is only a finite amount of coins. The Chinese public citizens for example are buying into it heavily to get out of the grips of their dictatorial gov. BitCoin now even has BTMs similar to ATM's all over the world and there is now a company that issues a MasterCard based off Etherium. Barry, Is it really a passing fad or an emerging new technology? We are seeing a consciousness awakening worldwide, and many people are rejecting the standard of gov's owning the money supply. Many technologies emerged and were ridiculed are now necessary to living efficiently in the modern world.
