ive tried to avoid feeding the troll to now but holy crap if you believe half the s hit you post and aren't just some 12 year old in their parents basement fiending for attention your world view is utterly skewed.

You live on the eastcoast. try surfing somewhere with school bus sized sharks and real waves sometimes that break a few miles out and then make a valid opinion. Between this and your stance on windfarms I have a hard time taking you seriously.

granted these electric shark deterrent devices dont do anything and probably lead to more attacks (remember that kid in florida round christmas?) but relating that to communism because of a state funded incentive is utterly retarded.

Whats your solution? Let the sharks eat people? Shoot them all? We need critical thinking and critical solutions to find our place in THEIR ocean without being a detriment to a top level predator that is a cornerstone of health for the trophic levels in that region and the world.

Would your solution be to tell the inhabitants of W.A. to move to a less sharky place? They would be less likely to do so then you moving from the east coast "waiste high is headhigh" shorebreak "tube" scene to a place with actual waves.

A shark fisherman one evening on Singer Island, during the Blacktip Challenge, offered me an undetermined amount of money to paddle his bait out past the bar, I told him to go Fuk himself in front of his friends and paddled out and caught a few waves before dark, and got totally spooked out they were fishing for sharks, but didn't want them to scare me off, but it was not a fun session even though the waves were good.

Lucky I have the mermaids on my side. But I will take money from the gubment if they want to give me some to surf with some stupid device, as long as it doesn't interfere with my surfing or give me random jolts. And as long as I did't have to pay any extra to use it, so I'm asking for a full 100% subsidy, for science,and the protection of the children, and for the protection of all the baby sharks, and the unborn sharks, who would needlessly be culled by a mob of angry Aussie villagers.

 

i apologize, the eastcoast gave me my roots as a waveslave and without it I would be nothing.

perhaps it makes sense that the same board i enjoy daily out west on heavy period (not my girlfriends) practically knocked my tooth out when i surfed at my favorite ultra crowded reef break in westerly rhode island back east (during a not so heavy period but when my girl was definitly flowin) a few years back
