I applaud your support of Tesla/Spacex. I hope he succeeds as well, especially with his ideas for new batteries.
As for "who I am", I am one that defends himself and those around me. Surrendering, as apparently you have, to another religious group that, as whole, wants to take what you have away from you, is why Europe has declined to the point that they had to go to a common market. Just wait until you or one of yours gets blown away by the muslims, those that your politicians imported. It will happen soon.....
And hiding behind a label of Libertarian is meaningless; it actually does mean. to many, afraid to take action.

I manage multiple bars in which I have a stake in.

It was a general statement. I see it at the job, I saw it in college and I see it in my own siblings.

What religious group have I surrendered to?

Wait until me or one of mine gets blown up, you don't think that is a little fear mongeringish, Barry? Considering the amount of attacks on US soil, would it not be comparable to being bitten by a shark? You just trying to keep us out of the water so you can have the waves huh Barry.

Bingo: you're not a biz owner. The time it took to read your BS post is all it took to dismantle your bogus claim. Case closed.

Shouldn't you be slicing limes & getting ready for the Monday evening happy hour death-by-despair dregs...?

If humans eat well and exercise, their bodies are far less susceptible to health issues, disease, and decreased life expectancy.

Eat like crap, drink, smoke a carton/week, and be lazy - you will see the consequences quickly.

This same concept holds true for pretty much every living organism on earth, including - earth.

Thinking that humans do not have a significant impact on earth's susceptibility to health issues, disease, and decreased life expectancy is plain silly.

C'mon dude, don't be so naive to think it can't happen to you or yours. Remember the mass shooting at Ft. Lauderdale airport not long ago? That's not far from where you live no? Ever been in that airport? What about Orlando? Ever been there? Both seem rather close to home. Don't be so sure it can't happen. Not saying to live in fear, but be real man. Pull your head out of the sand. For your sake.

So you would rather we pay the Russians and Chinese to send up out satellites over giving Musk tax breaks?

TSLA doesn't make money, you are correct. Because they reinvest 100% of earnings back into growth of the company. I don't understand why that is so hard for you to understand. You are right, initially, he would not have survived without the $486 loan from Obama. That loan was paid back in full within 5 years. The other major subsidy was from the state of Nevada, which is a state issue. Unless you live in Nevada your tax dollars weren't touched. The only other large subsidy he benefits from in from the Feds to the consumer. A 30% tax credit on solar purchases. You can agree or not with that. But it is not a direct subsidy to Elon that often gets accredited to the totals you guys bring up.

I am not sure how I change the tenor and topics of my argument. I feel like I keep repeating myself. There are plenty of companies that are propped up by subsidies, I don't understand why you only have an issue with Solar. Like I said before, either 0 subsidies for any company (which is what I would prefer) or you have to subsidize everyone. You can't pick and choose who to subsidize. That is the corrupt practice the dems and reps have been using for years and it's what has gotten us into this mess. I am not a pro-subsidy guy, I just don't expect some sort of altruism from the solar and EV industry when is comes to subsidies. How much was the GM bailout? and you are complaining about Tesla....

Yankee, all about the personal attack now huh, why you so salty?

Are you one of those guys that kept shorting TSLA and lost your shirt? Is that how you learned your lesson?

I got a frosty one waiting for ya buddy!

I'm sorry, I just am not gonna live my life in fear of a mass shooting. We will never be able to stop lone wolf terrorists. Defeating ISIS is one thing. But school shootings of the 90's didn't keep me at home, 9/11 didn't keep me off planes and the idiots claiming ISIS aren't going to deter my life at all.

DP, I would ask, what can you do? Not go to concerts or sporting events? Kick out all of the Mooselums (I like Barrys pronunciation)? I am not dismissing it as nothing, but I also can subscribe to the things I listed above.

The way in which Barry used it was a bit of fear mongering I think...."wait until it happens to you or ones of yours..." That argument could be used for anything....

I can't believe that Archy is the resident bully and all the other idiotic drivel I read when I come on here now. Thank god I'm not stuck in front of a pc anymore, not even a worthwhile thread to post in.

Archy, I'm gonna **** you up one day. For Malheur.

You may say it's silly, but you can argue the other side as well... 71% of the Earth it water and 29% is land. Of the 29% approx 10% is inhabited. So 97% of the planet is uninhabited and yet you believe that we are capable of changing the climate? Is't that kinda like lighting a match in a 10,000 square foot house and expecting to heat it?
I think we are polluting the earth, no doubt, but I'm not convinced that we are changing the climate...

About 60% of the human body is water, most living things have a similar percentage or greater, including - earth.

Yes, humans only inhabit a small portion of earth, but as surfers who are very in-tune to air patterns and ocean currents, our stench can get around pretty easily.

Your match in a 10,000sqft house comparison is an interesting point, how many years has the gas on the stove been left on? The match may not heat the house, but it could blow it up...

The earth isn't susceptible to diseases. It doesn't know you are here, and doesn't care.
    Now go hug a tree....

I was always skeptical of "global warming" BUT once "they" changed it to "climate change", THEN I knew it was a fooking hoax.

The fight against global warming will keep the lesser developed countries, the 3rd world. Development breeds increase carbon footprint. So these same liberals that are all worried about the under privileged/poor/non-whites/etc. are in the same boat steadfast in keeping them in poverty living an "undeveloped life".

Funny how that works. Another example of "the hypocrisy of the left".

Okay...exactly HOW LONG has the gas stove been left on.
    Go ahead...give me an answer.
