    Scalise, the majority "whip" in the House, was in stable condition after being shot in the hip and was undergoing surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, his office said in a statement.

    Not at all. He told me less anger more surf, and since I most likely get more water time than him, I found it funny he's telling me to go surf.

    I live near one of the most consistent breaks on the East Coast and can hit every day, multiple times per day if I want to, waves permitting. I have zero restrictions other than mother nature. I'm very fortunate. Sure, it's only C & D grades waves, but they are waves. This isn't the point though.

    The point is you always chime with your negativity. Dude got shot, one of our elected officials. Our Country is under attack, I found that important enough to discuss with my fellow surfers and Americans. It doesn't matter what side of the isle you're on. This is bad.

    what in today's events have lead you to conclude that? as it stands now it seems to be a 66 yo dude from illinois. it sucks that this happened but i don't see where this is "our country under attack".

    The MSM, the Far Left Democrats and those part of the "Resist" movement, the Deep State, BLM, etc., these are the people who have been causing such divide and spreading their hatred across the country creating an environment of Anarchy and Lawlessness. They don't have to pull the trigger themselves, as long as they can stoke the fire enough to get someone to do it for them.

    Just trying to keep our surf forum a surf forum, and not a political venting forum.

    Here's what I know about the news, bad things happen, bad things are happening today, bad things will happen tomorrow. When I come on here I do not come here to hear about all the bad things happening in the world, cause I already read about all of that in the paper, news sites, and on tv... I come here to take a breath, see what's happening in the surf world, dispense medical advice, maybe have a laugh.

    Then use your brain and take that mouse of yours and click out of this thread and don't click on it again. Same applies to other threads you aren't happy with, just don't click on them, problem solved. I don't like every thread on here either, but I don't go around b*tching about it like a cry baby. We discuss all sorts of things. Bubs is over there getting advice on his drinking problem. What does that have to do with surfing? You didn't jump on him did you? No. So again, GFYS.

    Why?? 20 trillion in debt....that is why.
