Fair enough. You're probably an honest guy and weren't part of the problem. But do you think it's fair to say that there are possibly some people within the industry who might possibly be corrupt?

Here's an interesting one. CNN and the liberal MSM are showing that Comey perjured himself and also broke several laws with prison time. Comey said that these memos were personal and they weren't confidential. CNN could only use the freedom of information act if the memos were fbi property which is exactly the case. Those memos directly relate to his job and are deemed classified. He perjured himself and broke the law by leaking them to the press. I doubt his BFF Mueller will prosecute him though.http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/cnn-sues-justice-department-copies-comeys-memos-trump/

If so, it would have to be on the manufacturing floors, and from there, the accountability for manufactured lots is incredibly monitored and regulated. Class 2 drugs have a very regulated procedure. If anything gets out a back door, it could only be very small lots, not enough to create the existing problem. That comes from India, Afghanistan, France...illegal labs. Promotion to docs by reps is also very regulated--all promotional items are pre approved by an internal medical/legal board, and then by the FDA. Very strict. Also, Class II s are NOT allowed to be sampled, and it has been so since 1987, if I remember correctly.
From a political point of view Pharmas are easy targets. Politicians have failed on the War on Drugs and therefore use pharmas as the scapegoat. Attacking pharmas for all sorts of reasons makes politicians look good in the eyes of voters. The usual sh1t, DSUP.
The real problem is OUR behavior. It is a cultural problem.

Gotcha. I agree that behavior / culture is a big part of it.

I also think that some doctors over medicate people to push the latest and greatest pill (yes, back to the doctor problem). My wife for example had surgery on her foot, was prescribed a high dose of Oxycodone. Same thing when she had her wisdom teeth pulled She had a tons of pills and they were pushing more on her. She only took a few of them and then put them down because she didn't feel it was necessary. She thought they were being ridiculous about it. A lot of people would of taken every pill they offered them and got them self hooked and next thing you know they're beating down the doors at the pain management clinic because they finally got cut off at their Dr. or Dentist.

What about the pharmaceutical sales reps? Who is responsible for their activity? Can they be part of the problem?

It's Doctors turing in to drug dealers to make $, not the pharma companies, who are at fault

I sure like having legal bud in my state, but I sure wouldn't mind having a couple of those "Pain Management Clinics" around here.

its messed up when people who really need the pain meds cant get em,but some fukin dope fiends can go to multiple doctors and get multiple scripts.i see it all the time, same people going in to 2 different pharmacies in the same month.

I'm happy I been off those things for probably 5-6yrs now, dont even know.i was prescribed 30mg roxys for 3 years, taking 4 a day.then one day my doctor said its time to stop.i was pretty pissed at the time but in the long run he did a great thing for me.and I kicked them cold turkey, opiates don't even pop up in my head like how some people get clean and they want a taste.its not something I ever think about

its not good to be dependant on something they can take away in an instant.id rather deal with the pain then be a slave to the pharmacy lol

I hurt my back several years ago pulling a snowmobile out of a trailer.

Went to the local clinic, the nurse practitioner told me "we only give out the strongest stuff here". I said "yeah, I'll take it" hehehe.

    Gave me Oxycodone and Flexoril.

    Faaarrrrrrrrrkkkkkk.

Man, I can see why people get hooked on that sh1t. After fiending out on half a bottle, I had to get rid of the Oxy. I knew right then and there that it was gonna be trouble lol.

This. My two biggest issues with Trump are that he doesn't seem to realize, or doesn't want to deal with the hard choices that being $20 trillion in debt will require us to make. It won't require "better" government or "greatness" it will be require LESS government. The other issue i have is that he doesn't seem to understand that less government can actually be a good thing! He finds time to tweet about every celebrity (non)issue that comes around, but i'd rather see him tweet about something boring like what his plan is to get the government out of every aspect of my life while reducing my debt. I'm not holding my breath.

True but they aren't hiding behind the socialist agenda while having multiple vacation homes and a bunch of money in the bank. Also, I believe Bernie only paid 10% in income tax, lmfao but wants to tax the **** out of us.

I don't understand how a bunch of rich old white people can convince a bunch of minorities that rich old white people are the root of their perceived problem, and that getting rid of rich old white people and re-appropriating (i.e., stealing) their money is the answer to all their problems.

I mean, pretty soon the uneducated that elected you are eventually gonna figure out that, hey, our leaders are old, rich and white. Let's push them out of office by any means necessary (i.e., violence) and take their money and WE will rule the world.

Seems like a defeatist model, and not very self-sustaining for old rich white liberals.

    Au contraire pas mon ami.....

When, in the last 8 yrs say, has the the USA not run a budget deficit? We're talkin' about an administration that, the past 8 yrs, bought its own debt.....I'm still scratching my head over how that one works.

As well, there is a hiring freeze in place here in metro DC. Agencies like HUD & HHS are scrambling to cut costs.

Of course, the Deep State rarely if ever cuts personnel - - it's basically just a continuous game of non-partisan musical chairs. With the agencies that are left standing when the music stops just gaming the system until the music starts again.

In other words, it's pointless, as well as inaccurate, to frame the issues you are concerned with via partisan asspects.
