I see people saying Fox is part of the problem but I just don't see it. I have asked others if they can show me one false story Fox has put out during the Trump era and nobody has yet to show me anything, not one. I can however show you false stories from Liberal / MSM.

 

I agree and you are 100% correct.
Yet there are still a few voices within some of these outlets that speak their mind.
As much as i hated that loud mouth fox dude that just got axed, he's one of the few whose voice damaged the left.
Roger Ailse (sp?) was the first to get canned.
Even Hannity is now under fire for reporting in depth the coverage of the Seth Rich case and the dnc being sued by Bernie supporters.
No one else out there on cable covered it. For a reason.
For fear of having skeletons emerge and forever ruin their career.
But as a whole fox sucks.
All the one funded by big corpo advert $$$ and govt subsidies suck.
Sift through the independent journos and match with the lame stream and draw your own conclusion.
But fuk, i've been surfin so much I really DGAF so much.
A Jones goes off alot and talks about the same **** for hours but in between all the blubber sweating rants
he drops some truth bombs and has on many credible guest.
Nothin takin at face though and if something sounds crazy i definitely cross check.
Drudge Report, Rebel Media, WeAreChange, Sargon of Ahkaad, some others.
Mostly though my world view is based on what I see happening all over the world through video evidence of society's downward spiral into unbridled debauchery.

 

I didn't even know who Bill Nye was, up until a couple years ago.

I used to babysit my best friend's little brother when I was in my early 20's (in the early 90's) and he was 5-7 years old at the time. So I knew about shows like Barney and Lamb Chop and that show with Thomas the tank engine, where the creepy little conductor was played by Ringo Starr and George Carlin (LOL). And I otherwise would have been way too old to know those shows, unless I had children at a very young age.

I never knew about Bill Nye though. Seems like a weirdo.

Watching Hannity right now. He is talking about Obama and how he knew about Russians trying to manipulate the election... Which is fine.
But he's playing a clip of Obama saying "elections can't be rigged, because voting is so decentralized" and he's implying that Obama is lying when he says that. Which I don't think is the case and he (Hannity) has said the opposite repeatedly.
So which is it? Did Russia rig the election or not? I don't think they did. I think Trump won fair and square.

 

I'd have to watch the clip but I think he's just making the point that even Obama has said our elections can't be rigged while the left is saying it was rigged by the Russians. I don't think it was rigged, and I don't think he thinks it was rigged.

What he was saying was that Obama said that the elections can't be rigged. Which he did say in response to DJT saying the election was going to be rigged. But he was talking about the actual ballots.
Hannity is saying that Obama changed his tune now that DJT won... but he did not in this case. He has never said Russians messed with voting machines and ballots.
That's hannity taking Obamas words and twisting them to fit his narrative. There is plenty of ammo against Obama and the left. no need to take things out of context to prove a point... that's what is called fake news.

 

I will go back and watch it and return with a more informed opinion.

Yes, you are probably spot-on with your assessment. As an investor, I do expect (or at least hope for) a positive return. Ratings are everything for these people. Funny though, I don't watch much TV anymore, other than Netflix, where I choose the content. I also have gone back to reading all the books I bought over the last 30 years or so (I keep them; have bookshelves in all rooms in the house, kitchen included. My friends think that weird....)

I can't believe people were so quick to glaze over what was being said and done and there was proof it was happening. DNC was actively trying to change the vote from Bernie to HRC and succeeded.

I think the DNC and RNC are one of the major problems we currently have in our govt. It took someone like Don Juan Trump, who didn't need the RNC money to run, to come in and shake things up. He was ready to ditch the republicans all together and go independent if he didn't get the republican nomination.

 

Case in point a couple evenings ago checking out some news sites and flipping channels. Most were reporting on how the republicans in congress (McConnell) had announced that a vote on the health care bill was going to be postponed until after the 4th of July recess and needed to make changes to the bill to bring over a few needed votes. It was the biggest news story of the day.

Except over a Fox which wasn't even reporting on the health care bill issue - at least see I couldn't find anything. They were lathered up on a story about how the democratic base (the "base" being Pat Gadell this former Democrat pollster or something who now just seems angry all the time) is angry over the vacations that Obama has been taking since leaving office. Whitewater rafting and Bali. Those angry Democrats upset about vacationing Obama is a bigger deal at Fox than the repeal Obamacare vote, at least on a day when its not going well.

For the record, i didn't vote for Obama, and support the health care repeal. But i can spot news bias.

 

False stories are not the only to way to push an agenda. Simpy ignoring/not reporting stories that would upset networks base base or contradict the opinions expressed on talking heads on the network is just as bad. This is what Fox News is best at.

My perception of what he said is he's calling out the liberal media and the Dems for their flip flopping on the Russian narrative.

Here's why. Obama knew about the the attempt by Russia to meddle or hack the election and did nothing and said nothing about it. It was a non-issue to him because he thought, along with the majority of people, that Hillary would win. So he did nothing. He also knew that if DJT actually won, he would have enough intel that he could spread around to a bunch of people to pepper the media with Russia leaks. And it worked. People bought it hook line and sinker. Despite no real evidence, there was enough smoke to create doubt.

After the election the DNC and Liberal media needed an excuse for losing, so the Russia story was launched, knowing it was false, and just after Obama claimed our elections can't be backed. So which is it? They used the Russia story when they lost but if they won it would never be a topic of discussion.

I see nothing wrong with what he said. Maybe I'm missing something idk.
