I don't disagree with you one bit. I just don't think Fox News is any better. They have their angle to push, they just do it in a different way. A smarter, more subtle way in fact. But still pushing their angle, not being fair and balanced. Revenue dictates their content, all of them.
First off Hanitty never claimed the DNC murdered Rich. He only reported on the case itself and the DNC has a motive so they are part of the story. Secondly you aren't saying the story isn't true but you claimed it wasn't. Thirdly Hannity isn't Fox. He's an employee. It wasn't his decision to drop it. He's prob threatened with his job or worse. Like I said they are attacking him. (Sex scandals)
angles and slants are one thing. I expect that and can filter it out. Deliberately staging 'news' is a problem.
Tax returns alone will tell you very very little about how good/bad he is a running his business. They will tell you how good his accountants are who advise him on taxation.
+1 Thanks Archy, I was slammed with work this morning and had a hard time keeping up. Finally get a break.
So you finally agreee with me... All I said from the beginning was that Hannity slants his stories to fit his narrative (as others do)... Never claimed he completely made up stories (like staging protests)
Lol and I have admitted he's biased as is all journalists / reporters. I have a clear distinction between being bias and reporting fake news or made up facts or anonymous sources that can't be verified. I can handle someone being open about their politics but when it gets to be dishonest is where I have the problem. I don't see him being dishonest, just an open Republican who has his own opinion based on the facts at hand.
Please go back to my original post about Hannity (in the other treade) where I said he slants his stories to fit his narrative... Then go underneath to your post and edit it. Change it to +1
But you are admitting neither is actually "fair and balanced". Which was my original point. They are both guilty, one more so than the other maybe, but whether it's Fox, CNN or MSNBC they are all hacks pushing an agenda. Not just the facts.
He didn't directly claim it, you're right. But you would have to be pretty naive to not see the narrative he was trying to push. Not sure what you mean with the 2nd statement. I said it isn't true....not sure where I changed my story there. I said if Hannity believes it is true I would think he would stand by it. You're right he is an employee....but when he says like: “I did it out of my own heart,” “Nobody tells me what to say on my show. They never have and, frankly, they never will." "I’m not that type of person you can say, ‘Go on air and say this.’ That’s been the beauty of Fox News all these years," "They leave me alone.” You guys can't have it both ways. Either the truth is Fox lets him do what he wants and he chose to give up on the Seth Rich thing or Hannity is totally full of sh!t and is just another hack on a network being told what to do/say.
Stop what? I'm not sure why he gets the benefit of doubt from you about his business acumen. There is a long list of business failing on his part, including his 4 bankruptcy's and terrible ventures such as Trump University. DP, the onus is on you to explain why he is such a great businessman. Just because he has a lot of money? Like I said Bernie Madoff had a lot of money, was he a great businessman too?
There's no onus on me Kyle. It's like you're going down a check list of MSM talking points hitting them all one by one. Stop it. lol
Thanks, read through that and see his point. So this man says the findings are inconclusive. I ask is the risk of global warming worth the reward of burning a boat load of fossil fuels? I mean worst case, people are wrong about the human effect on climate change. If they're wrong and we change our behavior the consequences are cleaner air and water and new technology. If climate change advocates are right, the consequences are potentially disastrous. What do we have to lose by cleaning up our acts when it comes to CO2? Also wanted to comment to the folks on chemical and food pollution. You're 100% correct. I think that is a bigger issue where the negative consequences are founded. People are getting sick and dying from pollution and tainted food right now. I do my best to eat clean and avoid all those GMOs MSG fat sugar etc, but its hard to do because producers are dishonest about the contents of their products.
