DPSUP. man I love ya, but you are in dire need of some musical edikation!! Humor me on this--I want you to listen to a piece by JS Bach: Double Violin Concerto in D Minor. Get a buzz on first, then listen to it,.....BUT....crank it up LOUD. And listen to it undisturbed. Piece has 3 movements totaling about 18 minutes. The solo violinists are awesome. If you can find a recording with Anna Sophie Mutter, she plays it best as one of 2 violin soloists. It is a conversation between 2 violins. JS Bach must have been an early rock dude. Remember - LOUD
My musical interests are very diverse Barry, I actually enjoy the type of music you speak of, very much actually. I listen to it, just don't play it here for these dudes. I'm a confusing person for a lot of people. One minute I'm listening to old school rap, the next, I'm listening to punk rock, but when I'm in the mood I'll throw on some classical or some type of instrumental tunes, usually in the morning while doing my stretching / yoga. It helps me relax and get my mind right. I can't be put in a box, hard to define me lol I will do as you suggest though, because you do have good taste. But man, it's ok to like some lesser talented fun music too, it won't kill ya hahahaha
Yeah, I don't doubt that DPSUP, I am just taking the opportunity to "needle" you. I know about diversity--I do listen to some punk stuff, but it is rare that I find something I like. Outside of the classical world, my favorite still is "blues". I still think older Chess Record vynils are the best, but especially those remastered into a CD, for example-- Howling Wolf London Sessions, with Clapton Wyman, Watts, and Steve Winwood doing the instruments. That is my all time favorite blues album, bar none. And loud, of course. My stereo equipment is older Onkyo receiver, and large Polk Audio speakers. If I crank it up, the windows on the house will most definitely be on the lawn, so I need to be careful. And of course, that would not endear me to Mrs. Cuda!! Or the neighbors.......
Warner Bros provided my intro to classical music...
It has been a Neil Young Unplugged weekend. Love that album, especially when I want to slap the sh!t out of rude tourista's. It calms me down.
