I do not disagree on the political posts. I'm not sure why they have diminished but neither SS nor metard were very active participants in them. Was archy 2.0 banned? I haven't bothered to check. The stupid thing aboot the political posts is that nobody is likely to change the mind of those with opposing views so it always degenerates into a storm of poop and second grader name calling. I'm fine with no politics and personally feel they should not even be allowed here. There's plenty of other places for that. Not my call to make though.

But I don't believe those treads have died down due to the banning of people circumventing the curse word censor. I mean we don't even know what is or is not allowed at this point. I can't say aboot metard but I do know that SS was not aware of this rule change.

 

I agree with you on all points. Metard and SS should be freed... I'm also in favor of a ban on political posts. I don't think its a coincidence that Archy, PumpMaster, Yankee, WSA, etc. are not posting and there not being political posts. If they were banned, so be it, I just like that there aren't all those posts.

The way I see it, no harm, no foul. No one has to read or post in all the treaddes.

I urge everyone to go back to the beginning of this forum. Pages 1238 to present day. Take note on tread titles. Take note on tread topics. Take note on how many where read. Take note on responses. Take note on user names.
It's obvious that this site has grown to what it is today because of what this site has become and the players within, good or bad.
It was over a decade or more that this forum has become the place to go to for advise, surfing related or not.
So, for those that can't relate to this growth or identify that all people are not the same and gripe about treads, I do pity you, the same for the newbs here. Go back to the beginning and learn something!
