Hey - what ever happen to that guy that came on here from Texas and was learning to surf? You know, the guy who couldn't swim??? How is he making out down there?? On a serious note- really a bummer what's going on.. prayers for many who have to go thru this... brings back memories of Sandy, which was not even half as bad as this one...

Indeed. I bet all those Freedom Party guys from Texas will vote yes on the upcoming federal aid packages though so that's one difference between Sandy and Harvey.
Yea man. Very wrong. Luckily i lived on the north end of town then, so i personally didn't have it bad. No power for 2 weeks or so but that was it. Allot, and i mean allot, of people lost homes and businesses.
my brother lives in houston and lost everything. really bad indeed. they are staying at a friends but its going to be a nightmare. house is destroyed with water damage
