You say they "get it" because you agree with their opinion. It was a close fight until the 10th round, anyway you slice it. We see it a little different is all. The problem I have is people seem to only remember the final moments and discredit all of the good work Conor put in. It's not being fair in my eyes. As for Dana, he obviously wants to keep him in the UFC as his biggest draw. He's going to get Conor back in the octagon, where Dana has more control and because it helps his company. He represents the UFC not boxing, so it makes sense he would want to keep him in the UFC. He doesn't want to lose him to boxing. But he knows it's possible. I think he can do both if he wants, but that's just me.
BTW, It's OK to disagree guys, it doesn't hurt my feelings, and it shouldn't yours. It's sports / fighting, it's fun to debate.
There's opinion then there's seeing a strategy. The same problem you have with people only remembering the end of the fight is very similar to what your doing. It was a good fight. But instead of just saying "hey Connor fought well and far surpassed expectations, just needed a better game plan" and calling it like it is.... your making excuses for him. Fight was ended to early. If this happened or if that happened. I get your a fan and thats all good. When my packers eff up, i say you know what, my packers effed up.
I'm not making excuses for Conor, I was just laying out the facts. I think his game plan was fine, he just didn't get it done when he had a couple chances, be it his own fault or ref interference. I have said credit to Floyd numerous times, he had a good game plan from round 5 on, good change of pace. It was the first Mayweather fight I enjoyed and only one I didn't walk away feeling cheated. He's a talented guy, I just don't like him. I also believe Conor comes back and proves the doubters wrong.
Check out these morons...
Agreed partially. Mayweather had a good game plan (which he talked about prior to the fight) and it worked perfectly... you think he threw 4 punches in rd 1 because he couldn't? He said he'd let Conor punch himself out and then finish him. And that's exactly what he did.
This is hilarious, enjoy!
