Yes, Hollywood. Near Presidential Circle between I-95 and Turnpike. High and dry here so the wind is our main concern.

It is jogging to the left a bit. But Miami still direct hit.

Friend boarded AA plane in Miami last night. Then, they deboarded whole plane, because the crew would've been slightly over their time in air. AA shoulda flown anyway and taken the fine and appealed it to Feds. Finally flew out today, after a night of worry.

Other airlines added flights and capped prices. Thanks delta and JetBlue.

lol Well, because it needed cut, but mostly because I was walking around the house working on the windows so I wanted a fresh cut lawn to walk in. A little OCD I know. Plus I figured next time I will get a chance to cut it, it will be really tall and more work.

Tell the truth--it was your "weed" that you were harvesting!!! Before Irma gave it to the neighbors......

Because when we have guests (Irma) we want the place to look nice.

Fugggg! Ocean City NJ? I was just there on Thursday! I love it there! Such an underrated place to surf. One of my favorite towns for surf in the entire state.
You evacuating? I got family and good friend's in Treasure Island. My buddy lives right on the Boca Ciega, and he's getting the **** outta there! Stay safe man!

Good luck to DSUP, StuckOnTheGulf, Iggy, Valhallalla, Surfdogg, and others that I may have forgotten in Florida. I know Betty evacuated already. Update us if you can, and let us know how you're doing! Stay safe!:)

Haha no kidding. What happened to it hitting the east coast? They push the model west everyday...at least we can get pitted before Irma throws out sh1t in the water.

I recall an interview from post-Hurricane Hugo, ABC asked a homeowner why he did not evacuate. He replied, "I decided to stick it out. But I realized I made a mistake when the pine trees came through my living room like torpedoes in a WW2 movie!"

I think sisurfdog evacuated from south florida, no? Did he say he might head to Gainesville? At that rate, there may be waves in gainesville...

Am probably gonna be in Atlanta for a week, waiting for the town to settle down, roads more passable.

That left jog is interesting, let's see how it plays out. My original plan was to evac to Tampa. Dodged that bullet. Gulf boys, this is a good time to head inland and north.

We're getting hunkered down here in Hollywood. Breathing a sigh of relief this morning since it now appears that we won't be getting the worst of it. Gonna wait a little bit before covering the last windows (doesn't take long) cuz I'm not a fan of the cave effect. I've got my rubber boots and raincoats ready. Cases of Coke and cases of Pepsi. I tried to order pizza and Chinese food but they were already closed.

It was breezy all yesterday becoming gradually more so as the day went. Gusty winds now. Looking at the radar we're gonna get the first rain band pretty soon. Things will deteriorate throughout the day. It will get bad but not as bad as it could have been. It's still gonna be a long next day or two. I'll try to update as long as I can depending on how connected I remain.

Feeling bad for those on the west coast. I hope you've had enough time to prepare or GTFO. Heed the evacuation orders if they apply to you. This is serious.

Gotta go cuz the wife is getting antsy aboot the last windows. Good luck to all my Florida brothers and sisters.

It looks like us Broward County Boyz might just dodge a bullet on this one. And what do you mean the Chinese restaurants are closed. I thought the only time they close is when the Health Inspector shuts them down.

    Stay safe.

Yeah that cone has found its way more and more into the Gulf. Was hoping to get out this morning but cams were showing just shore break, going to try and skate out of work early and get a sesh in this evening. Tomorrow is still looking good. Everyone at work is watching this storm with a lot more attention now though, the Gulf is awfully warm to have a storm this big in it. After she throws our sheet in the water, she's going to haul us away in her windowless van
