Funny thing is- I have seen on other surf boarding websites forums- that ppl actually say they use the BLEF- like they will list the boards they have and say "and I'm running a 9inch BLEF on my 9'6 " lol

In the northeast, Roger Beal of Lajolla Reef Designs shapes out of Hingham MA. He’s a transplant from LaJolla California and was a big bean for skateboarding too. Shaped for Gordon and Smith, Rusty, and a few other big named boards I’m forgetting. Diamond Glassing was his home for 30 plus years. Mentored under Preisendorfer. Super cool dude and makes magic carpets for boards that even hacks like myself can surf. Nor’easter Surf Shop in Scituate MA is who he goes through around these parts. He makes trips out west to shape boards for people with special blanks like he’s a rockstar breast surgeon lol.

David Smith aka Smitty is surfing the great beyond, along with his lifelong friend and patron, Ron Heavyside - Nomad Surfshop. May they both RIP in style at Dog Beach
