if how you looked posing was the basis for your worth or value to society or the world at large...regardless of anything else you might have done or accomplished...you might come to regard it as demeaning or demoralizing. of course, in that case, it could then be said that you probably never should have put yourself out there posing in the first place.
Do you think that's how Chrissie Tiegan, Kate Upton or any run-of-the-mill Reef model feels about posing? I honestly don't know of any person in the business, male or female, who would consider the profession in that context, much less those exact words.
I agree with Betty. The one nice thing about the Scantily Clad Women thread itself is that it keeps it all confined in one place. You can view or not as you choose. It's been nice to see the Non-Circle-Jerk thread attracting some more grown-ups. Now if we just had a thread that confined in one place all the mean spirited comments that have nothing to do with the sport of surfing. I suspect there's a lot of people who check the forum periodically who would actually like to talk about surfing.
