Hey Barry, you could be onto something- let me know what you find at your local shop... along of my leashes are probably at least 5-10 yrs old
Black Friday come though with some nice long lines on Delmarva. seemed like a real swell.....came in 2-3 wave sets that stacked a bit. Really had a blat this morning...got out and shot these around 11.
Woke up this morning checked it at first light and it looked chest high glassy and fun. Ate some breakfast and suited up and went back. By that time the wind had gone side shore and it was so bad I didn't even paddle out. FARK!!!
What a beautiful morning it was today. Great weather, cool temps in the 60-70’s, warm water, light offshore wind, chest - head high waves. A little slow early on but I snagged a few set waves right away, then it slowed down, and then it kicked back up on the mid - high incoming tide. Some waves were memorable, but it was a wait in between solid set waves. I rode the 6ft M-80 but sometimes wished I had brought the LB. No complaints though.
Twas solid waist to chest hi clean long liners, snagged a couple 150 yarders, connected all the way from 50 yards north of Mar all the way to the tower, the lifeguard actually gave me an applause as I finished on one, and I can't tell anyone IRL because I sound like a total douche even typing it here but it really happened, then I backed it up with another. Then I had to go home, family **** too f ed up to spill here, hopefully things get better soon. Surfing can be a salvation.
Snuck in a quick sesh after work Friday afternoon. First time in full suit since May. Water had dropped 10 degrees to 55 in past 2 weeks. Not much out there though and turned into chop suey shortly after paddling out. Could use some of those "classic east coast days" here.
Fun times on the LB this morning. Had the place to myself for an hour and a half until a contest showed up and crashed the party. Still had a blast but could do without the fog horn.
I haven’t been surfing this week and I feel like I’m ready to go nuts. Nothing but epic flatness. Blown.
solid ground swell this morning. i was 60% sure it was gonna happen, n running off 4 hours of sleep - so very glad my forecast was accurate. thi to waist long peelers. nobody in the water on my front break, several riders i saw by the pier. everybody was catching rides. i took the NSP funshape, had several all up on the nose. electric. if wind stays down, i'll cut out work a late hi tide afternoon session. great start to the day, hopefully it continues
haha, that's epic around here! don't forget, folly beach sux for waves and tourists - everybody hates it, no whalecum mats around, even in wallMart
I like Folly lol Srsly I would welcome thigh to waist after 30+ straight days of double-O and VAS conditions. Getting pretty boring
