I've had several faceoffs with black bears over the years. My baby son had one when he was 2 with a black bear outside his bedroom
Phil saw his shadow, but it certainly hasn't been 6 more weeks of winter here. Bulb flowers are out, trees are blooming, and hay fever has begun early.
Dude it was like springtime out here until that stupid roadkill stuck his head out of his hole. Freezing temps, beach snow and record cold water here ever since. Thinking about flying out there and finishing off that rodent
When I was 12 horse stood on my foot. 16 thrown from horse 'cause of snake. 23 rode bareback to impress female. Could hardly walk next day cause my jewels were killing me. I HATE horses! Camping at Oconi St. park walking to tent in the dark and encounter momma boar with two youngins in tow. I froze as she gave me the eye from aboot 15 yards away. Looked for tree to climb if she charged. Thankfully she did not.
It went flat yesterday so I snorkeled the PB Inlet on the incoming high tide. Beautiful water, 100 foot vis. I swam out along the north jetty, and when I turned the corner and entered the mouth of the inlet, just inside a few yards, there was a very large thick moray eel, a deep green one, maybe a foot of him sticking out from his lair in the rocks and he was picking off little fishies as they swam by. The current was rushing in, but I wanted to get a better view, they rarely come out during the day. So I swam back, and it gave me this evil look, and I immediately turned tail and took off with the tide.
