Big forecast shift north and south of Cape Cod. RI looks great all weekend and MA/NH looks to be blown out.

This will be the first of several swells from what I've been looking at that will hit in March. Local winds will be good here and there, from time to time, now and then. This swell will last almost a week. It's gonna be tough finding enough excuses for a whole week not to paddle out.

I may just hit Peanut Island on Monday. No more 23 footers for this old dog.

I fail to see how this stays clean/green with 15-20 mph N wind

You referring to my post? That’s the forecast for Sebastian Inlet on Monday after it blows NNE/ NE winds all weekend, then it dies off and switches offshore for a huuuuge cleanup session. Too big for my ass, but I’ll get a close look at it, might even remember my camera.

I'll believe it when we are 48 hours out. Been hurt toooo many times to get excited about this.

Anyone remember the 5 ft at 20 sec. swell we got maybe 6-8 months ago. Turned out to be N O T H I N G

Agreed, it can change fast, but seeing that on the radar was like woah!

Yeah, we were supposed to get a magnitude one billion nor'easter, now, they are predicting some high winds (40mph gusts) for Friday with a spit of snow.......and some surf for sure, but the Armageddon prediction has vanished once they got their ratings up....

Dude... a 20 second period means some decent lulls between sets. Just don't get caught inside and you're good! Go for it... you could get the wave of your life.

It will be interesting to track this storm. Hopefully the winds die down while there is some significant swell left in the water. I think I feel the flu coming on. cough cough

Man, It sounds good in theory, I just don’t think I’m ready for that. The largest waves I have ridden were 10-12ft on a couple rare occasions and I was sh*tting my pants the whole way lmao

Edit: if that forecast holds, there will be wave faces in the 12-15, maybe even 20 feet range. That’s just insane for around here. A few spots will hold that.
