Z- I have not but it looks like a good board for the aging shortboarder (me), and I would probably go for the 5'8 or 9".
I found a dude selling one pretty cheap and it's a 5'9". I also have a buddy selling an 8'6" Walden Magic. Don't know if I am ready in life to go with a board that big. LOL
Dude get the Walden, you’ll have a blast on that thing, probably catch more waves than you ever have in your life! I see dudes killing it on Walden’s sometimes. It was the top selling LB at one point if I’m not mistaken. Maybe it still is?
Right on. I’ve seen this guy at Patrick’s shredding on a mini Walden, kinda like a Mini Simmons. I was amazed at the speed he generated in soft surf.
Well, you'll probably get a way better return on resale of the Magic, a lot of good surfers swear by those things. But probably none of us buy a board with resale in mind. No muffin top experience here, but it looks exactly like the "pill" shapes that seem to be super popular grovelers right now. I'd say if you need a groveler and you get a good deal, nab the Rusty. I hear they work as intended, which is good on small mushier days.
I have a 7'6"... That's a long board to ME. HA HA HA The Rusty is in the crosshairs, but then all of a sudden my buddy shoots me a text. I'll think about it tonight over tequila and IPA's.
get the Walden Z, they can catch even a ripple and the glass job on those has to be done with kevlar. Literally bulletproof
