Agreed. There's s big difference. Barry will constantly give people a hard time, but it's always on threads that are lame and have no real discussion going on. When there's an actual worthwhile discussion, he's a gold mine of information. Unlike these trolls that only post nonsense.
I'm bemused by the handful of people that occasionally fly in here just to crap all over Barry because they don't understand his delivery style, or they strongly disagree with his political views and they think he's the softest target to attack here lol. Sure, Barry is a moron, but he's *our* moron. He rubs people the wrong way more often than not, but he's mostly just giving tough love in his own inimitable curmudgeonly way. Many simply don't like Barry, but tolerate him anyways. Most of us around here recognize it and let it go because he's earned his spot in the lineup. There's only 2-3 members who can give up their spot in the lineup for several months or a couple years, and then come back and immediately claim "top dog". Sheldonne is one of them. The rest are pretenders.
