So many good waves went unridden, while the competitors sat outside waiting for the biggest set waves. Pretty boring IMO.
Cancelled!!! I know guys are gonna come on here and talk tough, but there is know way I could sit out there by myself after 2 guys got clipped in one day.
this might be good after all. They should try some different/new areas, probably will be ones with less shark incidents. But just new places that maybe some ppl haven't thought about surfing at. i'm looking at you, North Korea
Shoulda sent Mick Fanning in to regulate on them sharks! His professional fighting record is 1-0 vs. Great Whites.
Maybe the competitors are wearing those anti-shark magnets. Also popular is the anti-Alien tin foil hats
I actually kind of respect the WSL for doing this. In my mind they are all about promotion and money. Money money money money. They have had shark sightings before and not cancelled. But a sighting is very diffrent than two attacks resulting in injuries and beached whales. I thought they'd give it a few days then resume. But canceling is a good callin this case. Gotta give them some respect for caring about the surfers safety and not about the blow back from canceling an event
