I'm on my 3rd Shark Tide watch, can't beat them for the price. Mine is all black, no shiny metal, shows the tide for my area and all around the world for when I travel. Keeps me on time for my weekday sessions so I can make it to work on time. I'm usually the guy who tells others what time it is when I'm in the water when they ask or I'm able to tell them exactly what the tide is doing or about to do. Yeah I check all that before I get in, but it's good to know after each wave too, gotta stay in the know lol

This will be my third Shark Tide watch, too. Never paid more than $50 for one either. Catch them on sale and get ugly colors. White, Blue, Now Algie Green!

I've never owned a watch. I'm just not really into time keeping.

When I was 11, my grandmother bought me my first watch--an Ebel. I've have been hooked on watches ever since. Better than being "hooked on phonics"!!!

I have been wearing a watch since I was in junior high. I like to think of it as taking ownership of time. Timing is everything you know hah.

I wear the most simple, lightweight, analog watch all day every day, including for surfing. I have several of the same one to make sure I always have one ready to go. It's a Timex.

You got a link? My surfing watch got covered in oil paint and none of the buttons work anymore... would be cool to have one with tides sub 50

    Surfers don’t wear watchesssssss

I only wear one when I surf before work. G shock. Bulky as hell but I’ve had it for 8+ years. I hate the way they feel.

Shackle to time. I mean we all are, I don’t want to have a constant reminder The clock is ticking (kinda hard nowadays with the cell phone)

I wear them on my lunch break surfs in the summer... between work meetings... stuff like that. Otherwise, I agree... tick tock... tick tock...

In high school as a young grom, I emulated the most respected surfers in school.

That meant: no watch, no socks, long sleeve surf logo tee shirts tucked in with no belt, among other things.

I wear socks and underwear now, but a watch for me was always just an accessory when i had to play dress-up. A nice watch. Maybe not an Ebel or Rolex, but fashionable.

Other than that, I've got tide charts and mobile apps that cost less and are just as reliable.

Not putting it down, just playing Devil's advocate

What about socks up to the knee with sandals? Stone-washed jean shorts with a golf shirt tucked in? Fanny pack?

Yeah I was already in my 20's when that ghey ass shit went down.

But I'll admit to stone washed jeans and the fanny pack lol. Heck I even had a pinky nugget ring and a mullet for a short period.

    Embarrassing
