Why wipe your a hole after a dump? It will just get dirty again, and a meteor may come and wipe you out anyway

Man... Now I'm going to stop waxing my board. Or maybe I'll start a gofundme page to supply turtles with goggles. Probably both...

The Si community is divided into two clear camps. the "poopers", who want to leave their poop behind, and the "anti-poo" who clean up their poop.

we must come together and collectively agree that all poop matters.

Since we're going down this slippery slope, let's talk about the REAL problem...

The majority of e coli in NJ beaches comes from geese. Yep. Geese. Resident Canadian Geese (no offense, BC) that live here because we've decided we don't like to see grass go brown in the winter. So we plant all of our lawns and parks and common areas with non-native grass that stays green most of the year, so the geese don't have to migrate.

Other animal waste, including dog poop, definitely contributes. No doubt about that, and I'm not denying I'm guilty of burying my dog's poo in the sand in the off season. (Can't run dogs on the beach Memorial Day to Labor Day.)

My dog shits wherever he pleases. Typical entitled millennial. Every time I tell him he can't crap on the beach, he says I'm raciss against canines.

I pick up trash on the beach, but only for purely selfish reasons. I enjoy Lounging on the beach during the summer on my days off getting hammered. I do not want to be lounging while some bozo's dunkin donuts wrapper is swirling around me in the wind.

Last time I was out sarfing there was a 7/11 coffee floating out 30 feet past the peak. I paddle out to it and put it in My wetsuit... I don’t like trash or littertards

    So here goes...

When I was chair for PBC Chapter of Surfrider Foundation I used to set up a beach cleanup every month at a different popular beach (35 miles of coastline - 4 inlets). It was a great way to get people involved at a grassroots level. We'd get a local sub shop or pizza joint to donate lunch, and we'd categorize all trash.

The worst, by far is cig butts. Lazy dirty assholes leave them everywhere. Small bits of plastic too, but that's not from individual negligence, it's a systemic problem.

Fishing line is a huge problem and very dangerous to wildlife. And stupid balloons get eaten by turtles and bits of them by birds.

Barry's old man emissions have closed a beach or two, so I've heard, but that's more of a weather related phenomena.

Dog poop - just pick it up for God's sake, don't be a slacker.

There, now I feel better. Morons.
