This thing is so weird. Yesterday in the truck some one on the radio brought this up. I plainly hear laurel. When I got home I looked it up on you tube to see what it was all about. I could hear nothing but yanny no matter what I listened to. This morning I wake up and see this post a hear nothing but laurel again, wtf!
This has got to be the stupidest troll bait ever. I can't believe anyone actually falls for this crap. I feel stupider for having clicked on it.
Dude. Go ride a bike. Play tennis. Paint a fence. Run 10 miles. Do *something*. Looking at crap like this is what people do right before they stick a gun in their mouth.
Well I've gotten it so I can hear either one depending on what I want to hear. it reminds me of the drawing of a 3D box, you can see it either tilting towards you or tilting back. I always liked those illusions
Looking at a 30 second tube clip about an ambiguous sound is equivalent to a gun in the mouth? I think it’s pretty comical tbh
Honestly it’s interesting... I’m a professional musician in an acoustic art. How people’s ears interpret sound and frequencies is really important to musical taste among many other things. If you find someone’s voice annoying or another’s soothing this is a great example as to how dramatic the difference really is. Im asking singers in the business what they hear.... I have a suspicion musicians in acoustic/classical profession will have a higher percentage in the Yanny corner based on how our ears are trained to hear the higher frequencies and overtones.
I spent maybe 10 minutes listening to this and talking about it because my lady brought it up. I still had time to surf, fish, catch a nice blue, filet it, cook fish tacos, clean my car, empty a closet, work, and have a good nights rest. If you have have time to read threads on swellinfo maybe you should be painting a fence is this rainy weather.
