I remember many years ago barry and I had some friction, but I came to realize he was just a troll, no more no less. As time went on I came to appreciate how well he stayed in character on here and how good he was at pushing peoples buttons... including mine ha. He gave me a few good laughs for sure.
I was walking up to the beach last night and some little shit in the vacation rental starts yelling at me “excuse me, sir. SIR!!” I’ve never been called “sir” in my life. I feel olde
Hahaha! Either you have a Command Presence or liver spots are starting on the hands... either way, you never truly get old doing this - I swear I get embarrassed on the water by dudes in their 70’s. Smile Bruh, I had my first total hip replacement at FOURTY ONE. Second one last year, shoulders next , all because I never grew up and never will! Remember what’s been said “it’s a trap!”
Dude wait until hot chicks in their 20's at the gym call you "sir". It's like they're pulling your still-beating heart from your chest no MILFS in their 30's calling me "sir" yet, thank Wayne
Those some women are checking out your clothes and ride when you roll to see if you have a big enough wallet for them.
Some guy called me sir yesterday. On the street asking for change. Im 28. I thought there were younger guys on here. Did they all leave? Im pretty sure bubs is around my age. And I'm not sure kans age, but from the time we met up for a surf id say he's around my age. Not to be a downer, but if you read the whos been surfing thread, and read about the friend i lost this week.... that guy was 65. Great friend of mine. Tons in common it was almost weird. Age doesn't mean a god damn thing. As far as barry. I too had the thought he'd be back with another alter ego. But it was just a thought. Guy was to on point about stuff. Specifically the PR stuff. I think he was a real dude. With that being said, he totally trolled. I hated him at first, then i realized he was just having fun and would say anything to push buttons. He grew on me. I bet he likes David bromberg and whoever posted that song
He didn’t kill himself. I heard from him via email. He said it’s just time to move on. For no other reason than to reinvest his time elsewhere off the computer. He’s a good dude deep down and he’ll be missed around here, at least by me.
^ I like to think he went out in a blaze of glory. The ‘Barry Cuda’ saga ends with a bang! He was a fun character. Realistically, he was probably done in jerking off to gay porn with a surf leashe improperlee attachéd to his neck. Either way. If he’s really not coming back, I’ll poore a beer out in his honour. vaya con dios muchacho
Why is it that everyone who no longer posts here whether it be bans or just leaving "emails" you. Yankee, barry, I'm sure the have been others. I think i just cracked the conspiracy theory. Nah I'm just playing.
What.....Barry gone, what the hell!! Who pissed in his Wheaties? Btw, 58 here and surfing has beat the shit out of this body
The site is no longer user friendly, all you see is a one day hour by hour forecast instead of a weeklong forecast, and that will change soon, and then againne. I don't blame him at all. As far as being called sir, damn, it still hurts, fresh as the salt air, decades DECADES!!! later. I remember the beach, her green eyes, blonde hair, the whole deal in slo mo: Noooooooo.... "Can I help you Siiiiiiiiiiiir?" It was a beach chick working the cabanas, I was 30ish and full of it, and she was 20 ish maybeee, and hottttt!!! It hurt bad. Real bad.
