Just turned 48 myself.

 

I remember many years ago barry and I had some friction, but I came to realize he was just a troll, no more no less.

As time went on I came to appreciate how well he stayed in character on here and how good he was at pushing peoples buttons... including mine ha.

He gave me a few good laughs for sure.

 

I was walking up to the beach last night and some little shit in the vacation rental starts yelling at me “excuse me, sir. SIR!!”

Some guy called me sir yesterday. On the street asking for change. Im 28. I thought there were younger guys on here. Did they all leave? Im pretty sure bubs is around my age. And I'm not sure kans age, but from the time we met up for a surf id say he's around my age.

Not to be a downer, but if you read the whos been surfing thread, and read about the friend i lost this week.... that guy was 65. Great friend of mine. Tons in common it was almost weird. Age doesn't mean a god damn thing.

As far as barry. I too had the thought he'd be back with another alter ego. But it was just a thought. Guy was to on point about stuff. Specifically the PR stuff. I think he was a real dude. With that being said, he totally trolled. I hated him at first, then i realized he was just having fun and would say anything to push buttons. He grew on me.
