I find it hard to believe that general and a patriot would be a "plant" and risk tarnshing his reputation.

Clearances don't expire, they get revoked. They couldn't charge him with anything. The indictments are for stuff from 2015.

So now Flynn is in on it with Obama to oust Trump? Story keeps getting better

Rhody, I think you touched on an excellent point here.

while there is a chance that all this could possibly coagulate into something real, right now at this very point in time it is easy to understand why Conservatives see this whole passion play as nothing but a convoluted ruse that was started by political enemies with the sole purpose of burying the current administration under a cloud of suspicion, therefore hampering the right wing agenda.

And, if any of the poo that is being flung actually sticks to the wall, then it would be icing on the cake.

It's easy for me to see both agendas. I honestly believe that both parties are absolutely guilty of what each party is alleging about the other.

nobody is innocent in this current shitstorm

Read more about what? That I think he may have been a plant? I don’t think there is anything out there about it.

I’m just speculating on the possibility. We know there was more than one informant planted into the campaign.

Those names are being kept from us. I believe it’s a couple of the people who had an insignificant impact on the campaign. People who were not there for long. That leaves Flynn as a suspect.

I’m not saying it’s him for sure, but I’m saying I wouldn’t be surprised given he worked under Obama in a corrupt intelligence community, and then he suddenly retires, keeps security clearance, and joins the campaign, only to leave not very long after and plead guilty to “lying to FBI” and then cooperates.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is going to revoke a 4 star General's security clearance. Anyone who has been in the military knows this.

pretty sure the informants have all been holdovers from the previous administration

My point was that he would have been a perfect plant. Given his background, already having clearance, he was a slam dunk nomination to National Security Advisor, nobody would have suspected it. Very stealth like of them lol

Exactly! I wasn’t suggesting it should have been revoked. I’m suggesting it made him a perfect plant at a top spot in the Admin.

I'm pretty sure he was answering your question why he still had clearance. Obama forced him to retire but like P said NOBODY is going to take a 4 star generals clearance without at least an indictment. Obama just didn't have enough on him to indict, but knew he was dirty. Seems more plausible to me than your "he is a plant" theory.

4 Star General's are not plants. That would be like Bill Gates going to Google to work in IT.
Not saying there are not plants just not him

Normally I would agree with you but how many 4 Star General's go and be a lobbyist for Turkey? I'll tell you who, a dirty rat who works for dirty Obama. Bad judgement on Trump's part for hiring an Obama hold over. That should have been the 1st and only red flag needed.

No it doesn't. And spare me on pretending Obama is ethical and would get rid of someone like Flynn for being dirty, when he's dirty himself and was using Flynn to do his dirty work.

ya the plant thing. didn't know it was your idea... interesting for sure. I'm always looking to consume more info on the whole trump/fbi/russians topic. I don't watch TV except for Jeopardy so 99% of what I consume is text... and I hate headlines.

Flynn got cocky and he fucked up. Just like Petraeus and so many other generals. They can't be touched, so they pretty much do whatever the fuck they want.

But above all, they take their patriotic duties very seriously. They can't be bought or sold and Treason is considered the lowest of the low.

    Excepting Benedict Arnold, of course

he did it for the $$$

I'm sure the Obama administration knew they would eventually charge Flynn for something and make him the fall guy

Gotcha. More will hopefully come out about this. Here's a quote I pulled from an article in May.

The latest detail emerged overnight when former Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo revealed to Fox News there might be at least two informants -- saying he, too, was approached.

“Let me tell you something that I know for a fact,” Caputo said on “The Ingraham Angle.” “This informant, this person that they tried to plant into the campaign ... he’s not the only person who came to the campaign. And the FBI is not the only Obama agency who came at the campaign.”

Caputo added: “I know because they came at me. And I’m looking for clearance from my attorney to reveal this to the public. This is just the beginning.”

He claimed that when the truth comes out, "Director Clapper and the rest of them will be wearing some orange suits," referring to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Again taking a the word of a staffer....does he have a shred of evidence to support this? A text? An Email? Recording? I guess we just have to take his word.

Hmmm back from May and he still hasn't gotten "clearance" from his lawyer to make what he knows public? Wonder what's holding up the process? What's taking so long? Just show us the proof you have, no?

I’m sure it isn’t that easy. His life may be in danger by talking, or maybe he has been advised to keep quiet, or maybe there’s some other reason, who knows. There’s more to this story than being reported, give it time.

Or maybe he has nothing....equally as plausible.

In danger? If he goes on Hannity tonight and unloads all of his "evidence" nothing is going to happen to him. You think the Dems are going to turn around and take him out??? That would be the most obvious scandal ever!

And even if I play into that thinking, I'm also pretty sure Trump would be begging him to expose his evidence and promise him protection.
