It wasn't directed at you Kyle, sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn't say that he's trying to replace the tax system with tariffs, nopanceLance said that, and that's not what I was referring to. What i'm referring to, is some people's inability to give Trump credit when he does something good, because they are so blinded by their hate that they can't see anything other than negative. It's their mindset that keeps them from being objective and seeing the positive when those things occur.

The other people that can go F them selves are the folks who want to keep jumping into the middle of a discussion with nothing of value to say other than "who gives a shit", which doesn't add anything to discussion and just shows they are out of their league on topics such as this. Those people should just STFU and stay off this thread.

 

I hear ya. If you don't see a tax cut as a good thing, then you have some deep biases. Now if we could only get the spending under control.

I criticize Trump plenty, but I also try to always provide an alternative to what he is doing if I don't like it. Saying something sucks without providing an alternative idea to tackle the same problem is part of the problem with politics in this country. If you think something is so terrible, then you must have an opinions on how to solve it. Put forth those opinions and allow them to be analyzed instead of just giving the "that sucks" point of view.

 

Great point. I once had a boss that I worked with, he would tell you to get out of his office if you came in there bitching but didn't have a solution. I thought that was a great policy.

Classic sales tactics are being used here... get him to say yes to a short list of requests to get him in the habit of saying yes and being agreeable.

Throughout this process he will make small but meaningful concessions which lead to the biggest and most important one, which is the denuclearization.

They just dismantled a rocket launching site. Step by step, piece by piece it hopefully will happen.

I’m skeptical about the fat dictator but I believe in our President and Pompeo to get it done in the end.

I don’t expect it to be finalized this year. Maybe next year or so. They will slow roll the process. But we are making progress.
