Doing a surf trip with some friends this weekend (first weekend in August) and wondering where to go. We're looking at Folly, Myrtle, Surf City, and Carolina. Forecast is looking pretty similar everywhere as far as waves. Where should we head to? I'm sure there's other things that make these places great besides the waves...
surf wise your wayyyyyy better chance of getting good surf in north carolina vs. south carolina. http://surfchex.com/cams/surf-city-pier-north/ http://surfchex.com/cams/carolina-beach-web-cam/
Hello stranger welcome to ye olde forume! There is a lot of great info here but we need to know a little about you first: What is your one rep bench max? Have you ever been towed into a wave? How was it? What type of knot do you use on a leash string? Have you ever be foolish? Thanks and happy posting!
Metard, I’m giving you a demerit for not following propre SW decorum and hazing the newbie. You probably got all excited cuz he was talking about NC, right? You got had by a big butt and a smile, so to speak. Stay better focused dude. Lol Your bro from LI
Which type of lodging do you seek? 1. crackhouse 2. brothel 3. campsite 4. motel/hotel 5. cottage/villa 6. retarded resort
Yall seem like a quaint tribe. Nevertheless: What is your one rep bench max? Probly like 175. Have you ever been towed into a wave? How was it? No What type of knot do you use on a leash string? A half nelson, or a windsor if I'm feeling edgy. Have you ever be foolish? I once answered a bunch of questions posed by strangers in hopes they'd help me. So probably .
Nice avatar. Rock formation looks familiar. Where was it taken? As for lodging, I will help you guys find a cottage or villa, simply because I enjoy doing it, leaving the other lodging options up to Metard.
Doesn't look to be the case this weekend, and if needed, they can take advantage of the tax breaks in SC this weekend: https://www.freetaxweekend.com/south-carolina-tax-free-weekend/
Photo was from Canon Beach, Oregon - pretty sweet spot. I got the lodging nailed down yesterday... we're right on Kure Beach (near Carolina), and I'm super pumped. What time of day is usually your best bet for waves?
Thx for your honest answeres haha Nice man! Best time to surf CB or KB is in the morning before the seabreeze gets on it, and on a rising tide. The wind will turn SE and kill it by noon. Looks like low is around 8am on Sunday so you should have fun surf all morning.
