I never had an issue with Austin. We chatted multiple times a day via email, when I was banned, just about this or that, and probably for a couple of months. He's actually quite a nice guy, and hopefully things are going well for him.

 

I understand why he attempted to do the things he did it's all about business and business is $$$.

But it was obvious that he didn't understand the dynamic here as Micah always has. And he let things become personal, and it got out of hand in a hurry. And it ultimately led to his demise.

What I find most compelling is how many posters hit upon the "clicks = revenue" thing. I'm certain that the honchos at Carbon probably knew nothing about the shitstorm this forum had become. But they probably had some software program that gave them monthly reports and allowed them to compare the numbers to previous months and years and they probably were saying, "WTF is going on over there?" lol

I think the time might be right to reinvigorate and unite the SwellInfo crew with another attack on the Brits at MagicSeaweed. It still boggles my mind how they use the word "Stoke". I'm back as a retired school teacher living at the beach full time. Today would a been my first day back in the classroom... Went for a run, heading to the ABC store on my cool ass retirement bike with apehanger handlebars, waiting for the tide to drop a bit then gonna pull out the wavestorm and fuck around on the sandbars.
