Exactly, youre ok with government bailouts when it fits your agenda. But if you replace "farmers" with "solar panel manufacturer" then it becomes a problem. How about no bailouts for anyone? Just like we want to tell everyone on welfare.....figure it out.

 

Not sure what makes you think this.....he did LOSE the popular vote and his approval ratings don't really reflect him being near as popular as Reagan.

Actually he won. You must of missed that part. See, winning the "popular vote" is like a consolation prize for the loser. Winning the Electoral is waaaay more difficult and was created that way on purpose to avoid the pitfalls of electing some moron based on popularity in the major cities.

Hillary failed to campaign in a lot of places that could have easily have been won by her if she had just gone to say hello to the people. Instead she stayed in her elitist bubble and went to her echo chamber states and got the votes that she would have gotten anyways. Thank god our founding fathers were smarter than you and the rest of the dopes who think it should be based on the popular vote.

You really have to have a good message to win middle America, plus get a bunch of moderate democrats to flip to Republican in places like Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and FL.

I know he won; however he lost the popular vote, something that never happened to Reagan. So my point it, it is hard to say he is as popular as Reagan when none of the measurables suggest that. If he is so popular he should have won the popular vote, no?

this came up before but i'll state it again. the welfare for the farmers is to cover what they are unable to sell overseas due to trump's stupid trade wars. without these subsidies there would still be more than enough food produced by them to feed americans. these are just bribes by trump to try to keep the mega farm coporations on his side.

 

I could care less who wins the popular vote, ever. It doesn't mean anything. Win the electoral or GTFO.

 

Ok that's all well and good except when it comes to the argument of Trump being as popular as Reagan....which he isn't by any stretch of the imagination. That was my objection to what Mr. B said.

republicans love the electoral system of voting. without it they would rarely get elected. a republican has won the popular vote in only one of the last seven presidential elections.
