Definitely contact him againe even if you tell him you are going elswhere. It'd be effed up (on your part) if he built the boart and you had moved on.

 

Don't feel bad, I'm still waiting to find out the final price on my new boart. Haven't even put a deposit down yet. Last time was the same way, but it was worth it in the end.

 

GG is one of the shapers I was specifically referring to LOL. He is slooow. But always well worth the wait.

 

Yes, he is, it works out in the end though. I make the occasional follow up call / email to keep in touch. I try to not be annoying and impatient at the same time.

every shaper i've ever worked with was that way.

 

hell, last quite flight i ordered was "custom" because they didn't have it in stock. i placed the order for a sting fish. paid for the board. waited three months and was gonna pick it up at catalyst surf shop in cocoa beach, fl. dude from shop called and said board was ready. drove down there from NC for vacation and when i got there the board was a 6-8. that's WAY to big for that design. i was like lol dude. no. i wanted a 6-5 but ended up taking a 6-6 for what ever reason.

that's the surf industry for you
