Stooooooooking. Just got a new board!

For those of you who don't care about how this came to be, just skip this paragraph. But yeah, i dialed in my quiver the past couple years. Got a mini for small waves, my DD, and the step up all from my shaper. Got 5 other boards but there special use/conditions/feeling/mood. Iv explained my DD multiple times here. 5'8 x 19.5 x 2.5, 29L, fuller nose, round tail, low rocker throughout, single to double to vee. Great board, can surf on it aggressively but its got enough weak wave characteristics to still be fun and user friendly. Well sometimes i feel it's holding me back. I believe in "it's the Indian not the arrow"... but a board can hold you back to a point for sure. On more critical turns the low rocker has been an issue, it's not too pivoty unless your positioning is dead on. Just lacks real performance features that i look for as my surfing has progressed a ton since getting it. So i was going to have my shaper make me somthing, then i saw the cymatic and almost bought it but bailed because of thir lft construction, then i started looking at the evo but realized now im just straying from what i want due to my interest in tomos bottoms. So i went back to the drawing board and started looking at boards online to figure out my dims and all that so i have somthing to go to my shaper with. Then i saw this. Literally exactly what i would of asked my shaper for. Never bought online or from a big name shaper but i just pulled the trigger after one night of thinking it over. Mistake? Don't think so but was it worth it to spend double then i would of.... guess I'll find out.

It's a lost uber driver. 5'7 x 18.75 x 2.38....27L. Epoxy carbon wrap. So light. They're calling it low nose rocker, but it's much more than my 5'8. Pretty aggressive tail rocker. Single to double to vee. Stoked. Plan on using it for those days where the waves are just begging for you to surf as hard as you can. First time with FCSII, most HP board iv ever owned, first big name shaper board and obviously the first carbon wrap. Ride reports will follow hopefully. Might get a shot on fri or sat.

By the way, sorry for not using the stand Mr. B. Got home from work, saw it on the front steps, ripped the box open and just threw everything off the table and started feeling her up

Kidding me!?!?! Dude, I got the Roberts naked in the parking lot at work in front of all the crew and the UPS guys... cardboard and bubble wrap flying!
And Brother, I need to build you a nicer version for THAT little beastie - that’s a sick looking bort.
You need that stained version! And keep it in the living room for a display hahaha

Haha Mr. B i did the same thing on my front lawn! Once unwrapped im holding it and feeling it up and yeewwwing the whole time. My neighbors think I'm strange.

Thanks kan! Will definitely give ride reports.

Got to say, after looking at it for a few hours, the thing is pretty damn spotless. With customs you sometimes get little imperfections, not that it matters, but they are there. But this is clean as can be. Im looking for somthing to point out and can't find a thing.

I still think going local is awesome. But im noticing little things in the foil i wouldn't of gotten going local. Not that the shaper can't do it, i just wouldn't of thought of it. Specifically the foil in the tail. This is going to be a little experiment in local customs vs big name shapers.

Just got through doing a fifty wave workout on the trainer and it’s coming together like puzzle pieces - so maybe when you come up for some fall swell I’ll be trading waves with you on the RBBT!
You motivated me to get off my bass tonight with that quiver killer!

That carbon makes it look like it's already going 100mph. Jealous.

Mine shipped from Cali, got to my shop 4 days later - boxed and bubbled, fresh from Roberts. I believe BMon did the same. And NO damage!
His is spotless too from his description.

those are some BEEFY rails, you won't have any problem dropping in with that rocker too. You'll absolutely rip apart waist high crumble on that.

Ok ok so... the rails are full, but they look waaaaay fatter then they are. Kinda weird actually.

And CJ like i mentioned before, i ALWAYS buy local. This time i didn't. Well i guess it depends what you call local. I got it from real watersports down in NC. So it shipped here in a few days. Honestly i don't feel bad for it because id say half my boards are bought in NC. I just bypassed the 8 hour drive this time. It's actually funny. I go down there often find this time of year, visit my uncle, usually by a board or new gear... whatever. It's cheaper. This year my family went down the day before i got back from CR, so i didn't go. Randomly bought a board online from a NC shop. Turns out my pops was browsing around in that shop the day i bought the board
