Just paddled out, caught a couple waves, then got attacked by jelly fish. Felt like I was being f’ing electrocuted! Got me all over, pretty bad on my bicep and stomach. F!!!!

I mention this only because it's your b day tomorrow Mr B. Get in your car and head to Newport, swell direction and wind will be favorable. If you've never been 1st beach is real user friendly, you won't have issues with parking or people. 2 ND beach is a better wave but busier . I should be shot for dispensing info, but, it's your b day bro.
I used to surf Nantasket a lot, it's been years but I had many fun sessions there, and barefoot Bob's.

fun 2-3 foot rights today in Maryland with the south wind swell/offshore wind combo. Cloudy and chilly...3/2 needed when 10 days ago trunking it was so perfect.

 

Yeah man my entire bicep from my armpit to my elbow (the more tender side) has a huge welt on it, then my belly from hip to hip got it, they almost got in my shorts, and that woulda been the worst.

 

Hahaha! I’ve never been but I sympathize cause I hear it’s nasty. You got into a few of them at once it sounds, or do you have Manowar at your break? They have those long trailers... there’s treatments for stings on the net that will reduce the side effects and time they bother you.

 

The more I look at it and the way it made me feel I think it was Man O’ War. F man, I didn’t even see anything and then zaaaaaap!

 

Dude! Thanks for the inside info - that’s way cool and I won’t forget it. Ive never been but my bud goes there a bit and always says I should go with him and I just haven’t. It’s easier for you to understand why I’m partial to Nanny, but I’m also tryin to break out of zones and this is how you do it. And Barefoots is done I think! Such a bummer cause I’d take the fam to the beach, I’d surf and then we’d all go there for supper and it was a great end to the day.
Newport, I’ll bring the three borts I packed up already and check water temp for suit choice. What the hell. Even if it’s a bust it’s something different.

I wanna say a paste made out of baking soda and water on the stings will draw out any crap and help them heal quicker. Also a Benadryl cream? Yeah it’s sounds like You got the streamers which are the worst.

 

First I did warm water and vinegar, then used Cortizone cream. Not in too much pain now, still tender to the touch, red as hell. But I’m good.

 

Fun short period swell today. Surfed central jerz and caught a few nugs. Rode my 5’5” shorty and a 7’0” wave bandit. Recently got the bandit for my girl, but by god is that thing a blast for me. Pulled into a number of closeout barrels and got ragdolled. Long day with the buoys. Nothing great, but it satisfied my needs. Need real barrels soon....

 

Damn man, I know that had to be an special session. Sorry to hear about you having to go through that, but that’s awesome you’re able to get back into the water and on a board

Yeah Bro, just asked the wife and she confirmed it’s been Hulls Kitchen II for about a year now. Shows you how many times this summer I got to do the beach with my crew! Just checked the forecast and it looks good - water still in mid 60’s too which is nice. Your an Ace Mr Manik.

I just got skunked hard. Might of had a chance this morning at a weak little wave but stiff offshores just knocked what little wave was out there down.

Was trying to surf a few times, christmas, easter, 4th of july but my symptoms were too much. I surfed good only 5 days on puny waves since a year ago. I still have hope for this comeback that began yesterday, though. They removed an 11-15 cm sarcoma, 40% of my liver, the entire right lobe plus my gall bladder on august 25.
