Forecast showing 6-10' of surf on Sunday in NE but in the 12' on 12 second range. I assume this is the remnants of some tropical weather event which never quite formed into a storm.

You're not waxing up your boards based on that little tiny sliver of green on Monday at 6am?

looks like it's coming thru N FL, GA area and stalling out in the northeast. i think it's going to offer a 4 hr window of good swell in the right winds. it's about time to dewax, rewax boards with the drop of temps. i'll hop on the hype train on this one

Sissurf wanted to know what depression looked like? I’ve already stripped and rewaxed every bort I own. And strapped everyone on the trainer too...
    Next is the banana dance

i didn't realize this was coming from the cat 5 Willa off of Mexico. if it's anything like Cane Michael, which it should be considering the weather loop it's in, we should get some surf and so should my bouys up north. even if it dies down, the wind should carry over and bring some surf at the end of the week. head on a swivel

That wasnt even a set. that shot was probably 2', the sets were solid 4'.
Got a bunch of goode lefts, but my last one took the cake.
Take off right at the peak. stuck my hand in the face to slow down and set the line. Was cruising at maybe 2mph and the lip threw over me. Good size barre - escaped through the chandelier and did a a nice little cutback off the top. wiggled threw the deep part then got another head dip on the inside. two more pumps than got another section from a double up and got dumped on the beach. Ended up swallowing a bunch of foamy water. Worth it though. Went in after that one.

Looks like its supposed to be a fun run of SW Swells all week out here. Then picking up with a NW around Halloween.

I think I've surfed 22 out of 23 days this month. Still salty about that one day ;)

C087CA33-F3A3-4004-8C64-5D77FF82FC66.png One of those rare times the forecast is getting BETTER instead of worse! This is looking tasty.
Tides right for Thursday dawn patrol and mostlikely Sunday afternoon should lay down enough to be surfable for us mere mortal hacks if we’re on our game. I’ll be sure to be there in am to catch the good surfing from the stairs.
