Wife daughter and I have done dune planting restoration along the beach at Dam Neck that the National Aquarium runs here every few years. Will be doing so again this weekend. Hardest thing about that for me that is getting distracted watching the surf. Salvation Army is my charity of choice (for feeding and clothing my grandpa during the Great Depression- LIBro doesn’t forget where he came from).
I don't think the purpose of this thread is to toot our own horns. It's a nice to read something of a more positive nature and to see that our considerations and interests involve something more than just ourselves. I'm impressed. I believe that as one gets older and the nest is empty, one often feels the need and has the time to give back.
