It should be removed from the illegal list at the federal level and up to each state to determine what to do per the 10th Amendment.

Given the supposed energy level of the Dems id say the GOP results were very favorable.

    I hear ya.

Every election this gets brought up and it annoys the s*** outta me.

My girl has severe nerve pain in her legs and she has 2 options: opiates which don't really work, and thc which seems to work very well for her. Unfortunately cbd doesn't do it and that's all that is legal in NC. So every month or so I have to jump through hoops and risk my livelyhood so that she can lie down in bed without pain at night.

Why tho? Why do repubs insist that is remains prohibited? Talk about government inserting itself into my life. If not for them I could grow her meds in my yard.

One thing is for sure, the Dems paid the price for the Kavanaugh debacle. Would think they will learn from it, but I doubt it.

That was a MSM narrative. I felt the Trump energy was just as great as the Dem energy. I don't like Trump, but that dude knows how to fire up his base.

This election went pretty much like the polls suggested, a big difference from 2016.

That’s sucks man, sorry to hear that. Hopefully that will change. It’s becoming more accepted by conservatives I feel. Not 100% but I feel progress is being made. I think once Sessions is gone we might see a little more progress. I just didn’t feel it was worth voting for an extreme left socialist just to get herb legal. Had to pick what was most important.

Although this may sound bizarre, hear me out: this election played right into Trump's hands for 2020.

It's just enough Dem seasoning into the federal brewpot to make it completely dysfunctional. The Dems already have proven they are the gang that can't shoot straight, what with the Kavanaugh debacle & immigration & other items.

Now, their voter base has gone & put people like Menendez & Ocasio Cortez & Pelosi into office. The Dems are chomping at the bit to start investigations into Trump's everything. This won't play well - - waste of taxpayer dollars, et. al.

There will be no consensus in Congress & the perception, which Trump & the GOP will play mightily, is that the Dems are for power not the people. More taxes not the people. Open borders not the citizens. And when Fauxcahontas is Trump's opponent ? Turkey shoot.

But doesn't the republicans blocking it kind of go against their belief in civil liberties. This has been my problem with the republican party. If they truly believe in civil liberty, what's the hold up?

Maybe, then again I have to believe the majority of cops would rather focus on more important matters than busting someone for a little green. There are far worse things in the world that they could then spend their energy and resources on. Plus I’m sure plenty of cops wouldn’t mind getting high from time to time them self.

It’s that many believe in the rule of law and as long as it’s against a law that has existed forever they will be against it. That, and many conservatives still see it as a “drug” and not as a healing herb put here by God for our benefit like myself and many others believe. Old school conservatives are hard wired that way. Times are a changing though. Give it time. I believe we’ll see it legal Nationwide in our lifetime.

talking Dept Level. There is big money in weed for Police Departments plus its much easier to bust then harder stuff. Unfortunately most conservatives love police so when police depts push against legalization they march lockstep. The money angle will change it for most states.

Yank, totally agree. They will make Trump a martyr.

Gotcha, I would think there’s more money in the legalization and taxation of herb. We could erase the National debt, make space in jails and prisons for real criminals, and ruin less people’s lives by getting them trapped in the legal system for such a minor offense which turns them into larger offenders down the road due to their life being a dysfunctional mess. This will help people remain productive members of society making the economy and social aspect of our society stronger.

I think you found the tipping point for legalization. IT will be a state by state thing though.
