Where you heading in CR? Have my eye on a few places I’m gonna try to make work after holidays. Hopefully with my daughter but if need be, solo

Nosara / Garza area. Been there yet? You & your daughter would likely really enjoy Nosara.

Nope and Nosara is the place I was thinking - that’s awesome! She’d be SO stoked and I’d love that

    Suite!

LOVE San Diego area beaches! Even though I've spent limited time there. Not an LA/OC fan, it's overrated. I mean overrated as far as the area goes, not talking surf. I totally plan to work up till about 70, if I can, but I've already decided I'm retiring to either San Diego or Oahu,

So my wife is freaked about me taking my daughter to a southern Clime to surf and I guess she’s got a bunch of stuff going on during her vacations with dance competitions so I will not have my Ace to take with me... bummer.
I’ve put together two possible trips, one being Cr and the other PR, and now I’m putting together a third option - Buxton Beach NC. I’d drive down, spend 3-4 days weather permitting and drive back. A lot easier to justify spending wise with the wife, but not a warm localle and I’m paranoid of sharks there more than the other two for some dam reason! Anyway, the only place I dont have the skinny on is NC - so whose got it? This would be a mid/end of January or mid February trip...

in that time frame i'd do CR. Waves should be mellow and smack in the middle of dry season. OBX you are still looking at a good bit of neoprene

That is prime swell season for PR! I do 5 day trips often and I spend around $800 with everything from flight, car, room, board, food, and booze. I could spend less too if I wanted. F the cold go topless.

Let me know if you want more info. But yea, $800 is very doable for 5 days.

Yeah PR is very inexpensive and easy to get to compared to a lot of other options. Worth every penny. I’m jonesin to go back myself. Maybe next year if I can afford it. I’ve been to Rincon 4 times, I got the place dialed in, so if you got any questions, just PM me, I’ll hook you up.

Looking to head down to South Florida on a solid NE swell this winter. Dad just relocated to Boca, so I got a free pad. I intend on doing many a strike mission in the near future.

Aside from domestic trips, I can see myself doing DR again or potentially trying out PR/CR. Just gotta time it right and find something cheap.
