You best REREAD YOUR post- you state I do not understand science, and I beg to differ. I merely stated I went to advanced school for sciences to let you know you are wrong. If you feel that is a condescending tone, then so be it. In previous discussions you state clearly that WORKING in a field gives one superior knowledge to just learning about it: I agree. I have BOTH--35 years worth of it. Keep this in mind, I have never told YOU that you know little about HVAC. But here are the facts: 1) There is no evidence to even suggest the brain "connects with energy". Only anecdote. 2) As for understanding the brain, we certainly have a long way to go, but I can assure you there is ZERO evidence that it projects extracorporeal. 3) There a lot of TV stupidity programs that have brainwashed the American population that this crap is real, even on the cable "Science Channel". Again -no evidence to anything they present. ZERO Common theme in all the above points: ZERO EVIDENCE Also, it is NOT for me to disprove--it is for you and other believers to prove if you want to be credible. I can await your EVIDENCE for eons--it will never be forthcoming. Now, I will go watch a real science program, The secret Lives of Pets, with my granddaughter...
Ok so the difference? I can explain logically why any HVAC related equipment or theory or whatever will or will not work and why. To the point where even if got know nothing about HVAC, you'd understand. I'll provide facts. Try me. You on the other hand. Still havnt proven anything. Just more of the "it's not true, i know more than you" BS. Still waiting barry. You said they proved us wrong 200 years ago. Present the 200 year old evidence. By the way, notice how no one here was stating absolute fact? It was a nice discussion. Even yankee, who disagreed wasn't stating absolute fact. His opinion was welcome. You on the other hand claim absolute fact with no evidence as if you're somehow above everyone else. With no evidence. Just because you said it we should belive it. Your full of crap. 10% of the brain is understood. So to claim anything about the brain regarding the topic at hand is BS. HVAC is alot diffrent from the brain. Your point is null and void. HVAC is understood. I'll continue to wait for your evidence. Until then you're a quack. Just because your using big boy words doesn't make you right. Didn't make you wrong either. Unknown. If you have answers to our unknown please present them if you don't then leave us to our discussion.
not really a ghost story but in the spring of 2015 i camped in the Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area/Caesars Head State Park on the NC/SC state line. i was alone and i left my car at the trail head and hiked two miles to my campsite. there were no other cars around when i arrived btw. the trail was well marked and it took about an hour over the terrain (switchbacks, creeks, boulders, etc). as soon as i got to the site i sat down against a tree to catch my breath. i was not there more than 30 seconds and i saw a guy coming down the trail from the same direction i had just come, making the switchbacks and looking around. like looking around more than paying attention to where he was going. struck me as odd so i just sat there motionless. he made it down to the creek bottom where i was and he was still looking everywhere and he was trying to move quietly too. he walked directly towards me but still did not see me yet. he's like 50 feet away now and he looks sketchy so i got up. it startled the shit out of him and he stopped and just looked at me a second. he made some weird hand motion and turned around and continued on. that night i had some dream that my dead relatives were with me camping and around a fire telling me to get up early, "you must be up before the sun tomorrow" they said. they were pretty adamant about me leaving well before sun up but i was annoyed at them. dream over. i slept great that night and woke up to it being light out already. that never happens in a tent on the ground. never. i put on a camo parka, packed up and started out in a light drizzle. i hiked about 30 mins and stopped to rest on a boulder just off the trail. i was there for a short time and i see dude. same dude, sketchy dude coming up the mountain side. he's got his head down because the rain is getting in his eyes. i sat there. he finally make it up to where i am. im only three feet off the trail and he looks up and again it startles the shit out of him. he's only a few feet away this time and he keeps walking but wont take his eyes off me. i got up and followed him but he started jogging/fast walking or what ever you call it when your trying to move with a pack on. he got out of my eyesight for only the last 5 minutes and when i got to the trail head parking lot there was no one, no cars. so maybe the ghosts tried to warn me but im too stupid to listen or maybe they need to be ignored. idk
Like i said, your smart. You GOT to realize the stupidity in this. We have a long way to go regarding the brain yet you can assure zero evidence of somthing. Barry. Seriously. Come on man. Whether you agree or not you got to see the flaw there. Your smarter than this.
Scientists have claimed that humans only use 10% of their brains...I believe it to be much less. I believe the human brain, when ultimately tapped to its fullest potential, will prove to be infinitely more powerful than most humans can currently fathom. Personally, I don't subscribe to the paranormal. But I also that anything is possible, which kinda cancels out my failure to believe in the paranormal. idk
It’s a very subjective topic and interesting as hell, but one common thread I see very often is complete and total reliance on one side or the other - which very often shows a fear of that other unknown. A defensive refusal of an idea that is offensive, disturbing. Outright dismissal is also a sign of hesitance or unsurity in ones beliefs. Or a dependence on that belief system. It’s that very thing that stifled science for centuries in our history - and conversely does now to the obvious... we have a lot more going on inside us and around us than we know. What it is is up for debate and interpretation but to simple deny it as “hogwash” just says your afraid of it. What it might show you. What it might mean. See the balance?
I agree. I personally don't believe anything is "paranormal". I think it could be explained, just not with our science at this point. By the way. Iv read that the whole 10% is false. We do use our entire brain. It's just that we only understand how 10% of it works. This is why I'm pressing barry. Im open to diffrent viewpoints. But if we only understand how 10% of the brain works, then no one can definitively say it's true or false.
Was it the movie Powder that suggested if we used 100% of our brain we would turn into a ball of energy or some shat? Anybody remember that movie better than me? The albino looking dude who dressed like Michael Jackson if I recall? At the end he turned into a ball of energy flew off into the sky if my memory serves me right, which I may be making this all up lol
you guys argue or dis agree on the stupidest shit that is imaginable , i can't wait for this to devolve into the political shit show on the next chanel. Barry is right, you're all morons.
Last year I went to Gettysburg. I was with my youngest son and we were at Little Round Top with no one else around. Hundreds of men fell there in a span of an hour or so during the battle. It was a very eerie feeling. Like being watched. yet peaceful. In all my years, I never gave any of this paranormal stuff any thought, one way or the other. There was definitely some sort of presence there. I won't say it was the "spirits of the fallen" but it was like the land itself was emitting a weird vibe. I was stone cold sober at the time too.
