I think that the polls show that they oppose DJT more than a wall. My point is that far left is going to vote left regardless. Far right will vote regardless. Wouldn't it be wise to play to the middle?
I disagree. See clip below. As well, news organizations are no longer impartial entities; they all have agendas, depending on which powerful entity owns them / politics / factors. So, for 'news organizations' to conduct polls is a bit much i.e. it strains one's credulity no matter what one's politics are.
Pick the numbers that fit one's outlook; it would seem that there is no veracity in 'polling numbers' due to what I mentioned.
I think its safe to say the majority of americans want the borders to be secure, and want entry to be highly regulated and tight, but with compassion. I agree the Dems are missing an opportunity to do the right thing. If they don't want the exact solution that Trump is proposing (basically 100% wall) then they need to put forward a better option (which probably involves some wall, but also other technology) and show that they are serious about it.
does your analysis include poor African Americans who consistently vote over 92% in favor of Democrats?
I think Kyle's link to the article in The Hill makes it pretty clear. The majority of people want border security, and I believe that they are willing to compromise on funding...but only on the basis of "increased border security", and not specifically a "wall" per se. Best bet for a Repub compromise would be to get closer to the $5 Billion they're asking for, and change the language from "wall" to "increased border security to include maintenance and reinforcement of existing fencing". Both parties can claim partial victories, and get back to business. Trump can choose to move forward with his steel slat fencing after the fact, but then we'd have to put up with the endless war of semantics of whether it's a "wall" or a "fence" ffs
Kiddie, I wouldn’t ask poor democrats nor Trump voters to fund anything. Just like morons believed hope and change on the left , make America great is the same thing - losers looking to a politician to fix their problems.
Trump will have no victory regarding the wall until it is fully built with Mexico paying for it. Anything less goes against his pledge.
Absolutely. Brits were able to hold off 4k Zulus, but a few more sandbags wouldn't have hurt the effort. And, Kingdom of Heaven is a terrific movie - - good call - - I forgot to put that one on my movie list in the other treade.
Q. How come there were 10,000 Mexicans at The Alamo? A. Because they couldn't get the other station wagon started.
