I assume they are all alternate / troll accounts until proven otherwise. I would say until I meet them IRL, but even some of those dudes run extra accounts. The internet is one big mind F.

They have no one to blame but themselves. We tried telling them politely, rudely, emailing. We did everything we could to warn them they were ruining the experience for exactly the people they were saying they were trying to help. They didn't listen, or even articulately respond. Now what? I've got no beef with Micah, I think he does a good job of admin and he's improved the forecast visuals. And he's done a good job pulling the reins in on the mods, which was a huge issue at the time.

I never thought it was hard to figure the mods out. If they like your viewpoint you can type whatever. If not, violation. I have said way worse than many that have been banned, yet I have zero infractions.

Yeah, just like Facebook or any other social media sites.

If the people running it don't like what you say, you get censored or banned.

Really on the fence with this one.

On one hand, free speech and dissenting opinions are stifled.

On the other, the sites are "privately" owned so the administrators are within their realm to kick people off the island.

But it can also be said that although "privately" owned, they provide a commodity in the public realm, and such censorship is discriminatory and unfair.

i think the big difference is that Facebook censors people because they are guilty of social engineering. SwellInfo does it because they flat out hate your guts.
