Yes, I agree with you. All the measures we have taken to date have *greatly* reduced illegal border crossings, all the more reason we do not now need to spend a vast amount of taxpayers money building a new wall. We have solved 80% of the illegal crossing problem. Now suddenly we have to spend 25 billion to solve the last 20%?

The problem is Sig, that the numbers that you provide are:
1) extremely subjective, and
2) used in conjunction with an editorial by NBC News, a known bastion of slanted liberal narratives...But I digress.

Let's talk about those numbers for a minute.

What makes you actually believe that the U.S. has "solved 80%" of our immigration problem? Because NBC or any one of your choice of media sources tell you so?

You're the type of person that probably believes that there's exactly 11.2 million illegals in the country...just what you read.

I'm here to tell you that a more likely number might be 11.2 million in California alone.

You don't have to believe me, go seek the truth for yourself. Go spend a week in San Diego and take the time to ask Border Patrol agents at the fence, and then ask the Field Operations officers at the Ports of Entry. Ask them if they think that there's 11 million mojados throughout the country. Then come back and name a single one that agreed with you. I dare you.

Not that it makes any difference, because you're so ignorant and blind to the truth, you wouldn't know the truth if it reached up and slapped the taste out of your mouth.

The point being: how the hell would the government (or any media sources) know how many illegals are in the country? Did they perform a census lol? They admit that they really don't know the exact number, and they come up with an estimate based on the number of apprehensions that are reported.

Man, where do I start? Because that is an extremely poor way of getting even the roughest estimate lol.

And what about our government? Do you actually believe that they are telling the truth? How do you think Americans would react if they were told the actual number could be closer to 30-40 million? And that at least 50% of those illegals were having babies for free and using taxpayer benefits?

I'm sure many people would be concerned. Except you, of course.

I've worked through 3 presidential administrations over a period of 20 years, and was subjected to the ever-changing policies on how apprehensions, deportations and "got-aways" were reported from sector level to Headquarters. Let me give you an example of an Obama-era policy.

Back in the day, got-aways were not reported. It was not politically necessary until late in Dubya's second term.

Enter Obama, who juggled between being "tough" on illegal immigration, yet satisfying his "open borders" constituency . Instead of reporting "got-aways", border agents were instructed to call surrounding stations with GPS coordinates and other information regarding the group they were following.

Did the other agents pick up the information, and actually catch anyone in these large groups? Who knows? Certainly not the agents, nor the government for that matter.

Nobody knows. But, no got-aways were reported. And, that's a good thing for the government. And people like Sigmund, who blindly swallow the whale jizz that the government, the media and his party flings at him.

Numbers can be fudged. Numbers ARE fudged. But you already knew that, right?

I don’t know about the devil but there has been messaging and propaganda in cartoons ever since Elmer J Fudd and da Bugs.

 

That may be so, but you can find messaging in anything. We are humans, not robots. Very hard to create a completely objective and sanitized anything that isn't mechanical, especially art/entertainment. The Muppets are on that list Kermit turning everyone into a commie lol? Idk comrade, seems like much a do about nothing. Also, any avenue of entertainment not on that list is also full of their own messaging (Fox News, Breitbart, Infowars). They are no better.

 

It is when it leans so far in one direction to control the robots (society) that it gets irritating...
