Follow-up and more info regarding craft brew difficulties WRT govt shutdown:
    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna957751

One thing for sure pointed out by the article, government is not approving labels, etc., but still collecting excises, etc.

Another interesting item was one brewer had "dummy" (i.e. somewhat generic) labels approved and is using them for an upcoming breward fest.. good strategeries. .

    Carry on.

Yeah we talked about this not to long ago. Once his huge government subsidies started drying up, so did his projects. He isn't the first to take advantage of political climate, and won't be the last.

But I'll give him credit for staying fairly clear of the political fray. More than I can say for media darlings like Bezos or Cuban.

Took me a couple of readings to figure out what a "howler" was. We call 'em "growlers" out here lol.

But difficult times call for resourceful measures. Whaddaya gonna do, just quit lol?

    life goes on

No doubt it's been a profitable model.

But it would be great if the media stopped carrying the "honesty" and "integrity" mantles. Because if you are spinning stories to create favorable narratives (and generate greater revenue) then words like honesty and integrity ring hollow and hypocritical.

And yes, this includes Fox. After all, they pretty much set the blueprint for what the msm has been doing over the last decade.

As Fungus predicted, the GoFundMe idea was a bust and is closing up. However the real objective was reached, attention for the guy and an email list to spam.

The wall stalemate is leading to a productive moment. Trump’s willingness to shut down the portion of government that is not already funded has forced this issue onto the front pages.

The media has refused to cover this problem because they hate Trump. He has now forced them. The coverage is slanted to be sure, but Americans see through it and want border security.

I believe the longer this this goes on the better for the President.

Everything Mr. Trump does and says must now be attacked by the media in a way that didn’t apply to the lies and evasions of his predecessors. Photos of caged immigrant children shot during the Obama administration must be attributed to Trump policy. Mr. Trump must be shown to be illegitimate.

This is the flip side of Mr. Trump’s own sorry failure to continue the mystifications that power uses to conceal its dilemmas. We have long tolerated illegal immigration by those who survive the rigors of people-smuggling or exploit loopholes by towing small children along. Given enough time, Mr. Trump might also be acculturated into the virtues of keeping quiet or directing attention elsewhere. He came into office as a person who imagined his advantage was bluntness, as if this made him the antidote to what came before (it did) and provided an actual solution to dilemmas (it didn’t).

Still, give Mr. Trump and his voters credit: Our screwed-up immigration system has become harder for Congress and the public to ignore. Who knows? This might even be leading to a productive moment.

My only concern is that enough TSA agents show for my flight home from CA on Monday.

Then why does he have the opt in option now on the page? It appears he had to change the allocation of the funds from going to the Feds to WeBuildTheWallInc. So unless you opt in your money will be refunded. Weird question is, why won't the Fed take the money? Never known the federal government to not jump at the chance to take money from citizens.

Why? Will it affect your flight home? Your response makes no sense. Just another smartass remark being blurted out in the heat of a wave of hurt feelings, I'm sure.

But don't worry, I am positive that there will be plenty of TSA on duty for your departure...as if you ever gave a rat's arse about them lol.

Hopefully they'll put you in secondary inspection and rifle through your personal belongings for a couple hours. Then you can bond with them in your newfound solidarity.
